Walk off the Wait, May 9 Lanikai Pill Boxes Join us on our latest Blue Star Card hike to the Lanikai Pillboxes (also known as bunkers), Wednesday, May 9. Hiking along the Kaiwa Ridge, you will encounter two bunkers built by the U.S. Military during World War II. In addition, this short hike offers beautiful views of the windward side of Oahu. Free transportation will be leaving from the Schofield Barracks Bowling Center parking lot at 8:00 am and returning around 2:00 pm. This hike is considered a 2 star rating (5 star scale). The trail is not stroller accessible. Make sure to pack sunscreen and plenty of water! We will also be stopping for shave ice at Island Snow so please bring some pocket change! Big R: Bowling, May 29 Schofield Barracks Bowling Center Countdown another month of deployment with Blue Star Card on Tuesday, May 29 at 6 pm at the Schofield Barracks Bowling Center. Blue Star Card Families will receive two free game of bowling and shoe rental. Space is limited and registration is required. To register call 655-0002 or email Amanda.P.Montgomery.naf@mail.mil by May 24.

Spouses of deployed Soldiers are eligible to sign up for a Blue Star Card, which will give you discounts at Family and MWR facilities, activities and special events. Your Blue Star Card will be valid throughout the entire deployment. To get your card, visit Army Community Service on Schofield Barracks or Fort Shafter.

Parents Night Out

Parents Night Out will be held May 5 (AMR CDC and AMR Youth Center), May 19 (Schofield CDC and Schofield School Age Center). For more information on Parents Night Out or to make a reservation, call the Schofield Barracks CYS Services Registration Office at 655-5314 or the AMR Registration Office at 833-5393. Blue Star Card holders can use their 16 free hours for the month toward Parents Night Out!

The Kids on Site care for the Health and Fitness center will remain free for valid Blue Star Card holders, Mon.-Fri., 8-11 a.m., at Kaala Community Activities Center, Bldg. 556. Registration is required. For more information please call 655-8628.

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS
1. For each sandwich, cut two slices of bread into flower shapes with a cookie cutter. 2. Cut a hole in one of the slices by pressing a water bottle cap into the center. 3. Spread the peanut butter and jelly on the whole piece and place the slice with the hole on top.
