wonderful incentive to promote even more reading over the summer months!"
Read to Ride's week two winners were 1l-year-old Tanner Gildea of Cohasset and nine-year-old Max Carpenter of Milton. 'Now that Tanner has won a bike, his three younger brothers will be motivated to read more this summer and enter the contest as well!" Read to Ride offerc children, ages 6-15, the chance to win a bike and helmet for every book they complete during the program. Participatingin Read to Ride is easy! Entry forms are available at all 16 Dependable Cleaners locations and participating bike shops through July 11, 2008. "Children who develop a love of reading at an early age are often more successful in school and in life," said Hagearty, a mother of three children. "The success of this program relies heavily on the cooperation of area libraries, schools, and youth organizations as well as the overwhelming number of parents who encourage their children to read during the summer months."
