In this course, management from an Islamic perspective (MIP) is taught as an integrated subject. Although the principles of management are simple (Planning, Organizing, Leading & Controlling); the underlying assumptions are contrary to Islam. Thus, participants need to challenge some of the basic principles found in conventional management. The course highlights those aspects of Islam that are important to understand from the perspective of management implications. The focus is to dedicate enough time to cover practical points, such as figuring out what just is theory and what can be applied in Muslim societies and their cultural mould.
