The thing with growing up is, half of what it does is just make you beer at masking your feelings. Geing to the substance of this issue, one thing you dont seem to have learnt in the intervening 12 years is that the practical out-working of communism always ends up killing loads of people, usually mostly poor ones, and usually by starvation (personally, I struggle to think of a much nastier way to go), while capitalism merely results in too many bankers having a bit too much (probably) undeserved wealth. This makes communism evil, and capitalism mostly harmless. The reason why no-one has managed to get communism right despite goodness only know how many aempts at it, isnt the fault of stalinists, trots, etc etc its because the whole system is based on an inherently awed view of human nature that assumes people will not act purely in their own self interest, when simple observation will tell you that is exactly what people do.
