web photos. These numbers are only starting points, please adjust for the look you want. 5. Select, Inverse (or Ctrl-Shift-I). 6. Layer, Layer via copy (or just press Ctrl-J to copy that selected area to a new layer). 7. Change that new layers blending mode to Multiply. 8. Layer, Layer via copy (or just press Ctrl-J to copy the layer you just set to Multiply to a new layer). 9. Layer, New layer (or click on the add new layer icon in your layer pane) to add a new blank layer on top. 10. Hold down your alt key, then Layer, Merge Visible (or press Shift-Ctrl-Alt-E for Stamp Visible). This puts everything below that blank layer into that new blank layer, without effecting the bottom layers. Name this layer Vignette.
1. Open the image in which you want to apply burned edges. 2. Select, all. 3. For Photoshop (if using Photoshop Elements, skip to Step 4): Select, Transform Selection, then change the W (width) to 80% and the H (height) to 80%, then press Enter. 4. Select, Feather and use 100 or greater for high resolution photos or if you want more vignette coverage, use approximately 50 for low resolution

12. Make sure that you select the Vignette layer and adjust the Vignette layers opacity to taste. Then flatten image.
