Praise and Prayer

Pray for the students at
Clark College to learn how to share their faith (and for me as I help train them).

CLARK COLLEGE
Last letter I briefly mentioned the students we met at Clark College. I got to meet them a few weeks later in Vancouver and hear their thoughts and struggles about their campus group called Students for Christ. The overwhelming consensus I heard from the leaders was a dissatisfaction about where the group was heading and a frustration in being able to reach their campus for Christ. It was so encouraging hearing them talk about their desire to talk about Jesus in their own lives as well as hoping their entire club would have the same heart. with Cojourners, it is an equipping paradigm, which provides a way of thinking about and teaching conversational evangelism (for more info, go to Cojourners.com; I would recommend you to try it out as all the trainings are posted online). Financial Update Last month I asked for $2000 to help finish off my time here in Portland. Within a week, God provided through you to meet that need! Thank you so much so much! I still dont know what I will be doing after my commitment in Portland ends in June. I am continuing to test and approve what Gods will is (Rom 12:2). I should be able to provide an update next month to fill you in on what could be next.

Pray for my transition

back to the US and for future direction.

Pray for the city of Portland to be transformed by Jesus

Praise God for meeting

my financial need!

Praise God for the Vision

Night and pray for us and the students as we talk through the challenge with them.

Please pray for these students to take the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leave the results up to God. I pray they will be willing to give their fears and concerns about sharing their faith to God. Please also pray for wisdom for them to be able to lead their group well. We do not want to take over their group I will be leading a Cojourners but to help equip them to reach training with the leaders at their campus with the good Clark one day a week to help news of Jesus Christ. equip them to be able to share their faith naturally, in everyday situations. VISION FOR THE CITY

Justin shares the vision for college campuses with students God is moving all over the Portland area in ways we cannot see. Last Friday, God let us get a glimpse of what he is doing in the city through the campus ministry. We had a little over 40 students from 5 different campuses (including 2 students from Clark) attend an end of the year Vision Night where we were able to challenge each student to two things: 1)Pray and seek out what it means to see your campus as a mission field, and 2) Lead or Co-lead a Circle because "life change happens in circles, not rows" (help those around you to know who Jesus is and help others talk about him too). Most of the students responded positively to the challenge, and we are working on helping them process through what these two things look like for them individually. Please pray for these studentsthat God would continue to give them vision to reach their campuses, Portland, and the world for Jesus.
