The Antioxidant Powerhouse

In May 2005, Pharmanex launched g3 and introduced a truly remarkable product to the world. g3 represented all the power and foresight of an industry-leading company. g3 is on the market today because it contains the very best that nature and science have to offer.
An ImportAnt DIscovery A sUperFrUIt synerGy

Pharmanex took the gc superfruit and conducted further research to confirm what they had found. Then, in Pharmanex-owned labs in Provo, Beijing, and Shanghai scientists began to develop the juice of the gc superfruit into a delicious, nutrient packed juice. The result is Pharmanex g3, a refreshing way to get super antioxidant benefits in a highly bioavailable form. g3 includes the juice of the gc superfruit and the juices of three other superfruitsChinese lyceum (also known as Wolfberry) from southern China, Siberian pineapple (also known as Sea Buckthorn) from Asia, and cili fruit from the mountains of China. These four superfruits combine to make a potent, nutrient-rich juice blend unlike any other. With this nutritional superpower, g3 promotes cellular rejuvenation, boosts the bodys antioxidant defenses against cellular damage by free radicals, slows the effects of aging through DNA protection, and supports healthy immune function. Like LifePak, g3 is SCS Certified to raise the Skin Carotenoid Score with the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner.
A poWerHoUse proDUct

The g3 story began with a careful search for the most effective ingredients. Pharmanex scientists were determined to create a nutrient rich juice that would impact skin carotenoid scores and provide significant health benefits. They combed the world for fruits whose juices provided significant antioxidant protection. But few approached the scientists exacting standards.
OUNCE PER OUNCE, GAC FRUIT CONTAINS MORE LYCOPENE THAN A TOMATO, MORE BETA-CAROTENE THAN A CARROT, AND A 2 OUNCE SERVING OF g SUPERFRUIT BLEND DELIVERS 100% RDA OF VITAMIN C.

Then, at a scientific convention a Pharmanex scientist came across a poster that related some astonishing study results. A little known fruit grown in southeast AsiaM. cochinchinensis, called gc by the Vietnamesehad been found to have unusually high concentrations of important antioxidants in a very bioavailable form.
A FrUIt From HeAven

Natives of Vietnam call gc a fruit from heaven both for its incredible health benefits and for its timeliness. The gc fruit ripens and is primarily harvested in December and Januarylong after other fruits and vegetables are out of season. For centuries, the properties of the gc fruit were not widely known outside of Southeast Asia. But when modern researchers began studying the fruit, they came to realize what natives have known for generationsthe gc fruit is extraordinary and valuable. Gc is known as a superfruit because it delivers nutrients and antioxidant benefits much more effectively than regular fruits and vegetables. The gc superfruit contains unusually concentrated amounts of lipocarotenes, or unique, highly bioavailable carotenes that provide powerful antioxidant protection while supporting healthy immune function.

As both a highly nutritious juice supplement and a superb opportunity for Pharmanex representatives, g3 illustrates the power of Pharmanex to find and develop the best and most useful remedies into proven, powerful supplements. In all the world, theres never been anything like g3.

Whats in g?
A final product is only as good as the ingredients that went into it. Thus, the development of g3 was a long, involved process to find the quality ingredients with healthful benefits that could stand up to the rigorous criteria of the 6S Quality Process. The four main fruits in g3, gc, Chinese lycium, Siberian pineapple, and cili fruit, meet the selection, sourcing, structure, standardization, safety, and substantiation standards of the 6S process. Referred to as superfruits for their unique phytonutrient benefits, these four fruits help ensure that g3 is an SCS certified product, guaranteed to raise your Skin Carotenoid Score with the BioPhotonic Scanner. Gc has extraordinary protective benefits through its potent antioxidant content. There is not only a large quantity of antioxidants available in this fruit, but these antioxidants exist in a highly bioavailable form known as lipocarotenes. Naturally occurring long-chain fatty acids in lipocarotenes attract and bind important antioxidants and nutrients to facilitate their absorption in the body. Antioxidants found in gc, such as lycopene and beta carotene, help rejuvenate cellular function throughout the body. A popular source for beta-carotene is carrots, and lycopene occurs naturally in tomatoes. However, the concentration of beta-carotene in the gc fruit is almost ten times more than that of carrots, and, ounce for ounce, gc has about 70 times more lycopene than a tomato.
sIBerIAn pIneAppLe cHInese LycIUm FrUIt

Chinese lycium fruit is a good source of zeaxanthin, an antioxidant that plays a vital role in eye health. Also found naturally in corn, the level of zeaxanthin from the Chinese lycium fruit is 40 times more potent than in corn. High levels of polysaccharides, vitamins, and amino acids along with the antioxidants provide many health benefits.
cILI FrUIt

The cili fruit is also known as the King of Vitamin C for good reason. This potent wild fruit contains 60 times more vitamin C than the common, natural source from an orange. It has been shown to improve antioxidant capacity. Each one of these gc superfruits have documented histories of traditional use that has resulted in scientific validation from the modern world. More information on these ingredients can be found at www.pubmed.com, where certified scientific journals and articles can be accessed.

In the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the Siberian pineapple is recognized for promoting upper-respiratory tract health, encouraging digestion, and removing food stagnancy. Russian cosmonauts ate the fruit and used the oil in a cream, believing it would help protect them from solar radiation. Modern research shows this small but potent fruit is a concentrated natural source of carotenoids, tocopherols, vitamin C, and flavonoids. Animal studies show strong evidence to support it also bolsters immune function.

IF YOU PICTURE 20- and 30-year olds as unmotivated and lazy, you obviously havent met the rising Gen-X leaders making the most of the golden opportunity Nu Skin Enterprises offers.

These Distributors are making their mark in a massive way, working hard and playing hard. Many come from very active backgrounds and apply that energy to building a Nu Skin Enterprises businessand building a better life for themselves. The rising generation of young leaders grew up with technology, so they readily accept gadgets like the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner and the Nu Skin ProDerm Skin Analyzer, and Maxcast. And they have shown a willingness to learn from leaders in the Nu Skin Enterprises family and to forge their own paths.

>>> Here are three leaders in the vanguard of the new generation:
cHArLey pAtterson

From left to right: Charley Patterson, Ryan Fry, and Jed Knight

My Nu Skin Enterprises business is a direct parallel of my previous wakeboarding career. When I was introduced to wakeboarding I was taken under the wing of pro riders Cobe Mikacich, Chris Bischoff and friend Jon Lindsay. They taught me how to ride, but more importantly they taught me how to network. We did everything together. We lived together, rode together, and
NU SKIN ENTERPRISES NORTH AMERICA

We all have a storya story that moves us and encourages us that we can do better and be better and make a huge difference in the world.
traveled together. We were each others physical, mental, and moral support. We pushed each other to be better on the water. None of us would have seen such success without the others. When I signed up as a distributor, I developed the same relationship with Jed Knight and Ryan Fry. We locked arms, doing everything together. Individually, we are very positive, strong-willed, driven, determined, and visionary. Together, we are unstoppable. We have different personalities, different strengths and weaknesses. From the words of Lon Wardrop and Dan McCormick, Blue Diamonds and Team Elites come in twos and threes. Once you recruit yourself, find a friend. It is clear to me, after two and a half years with Nu Skin, collaborative and inter-connected networking is the new paradigm of the twentyfirst century business model. I believe so strongly in the power of networking that no other approach to doing business makes sense. The leadership in this company is beyond words. We work with our own organizationsgiving energy where there is energy. As we took action in our business, Jeff Mack, Lon Wardrop, Dan McCormick, and Eric Karlen have been there to push, support, and mentor us. They have nothing to gain from us financially. This defines the type of leadership in our company. The better you get, the better we all get. The rising tide lifts all boats. These leaders were the second wave of the company, taking the reins from Clara McDermott, Craig Bryson, Craig Tillotson, Russ Karlen, and Nathan Ricks. Now they are here, helping us develop to take over and lead. We are the next generation of Nu Skin Enterprises. We have a responsibility to be the best we can be, so we can eventually pass this Golden Opportunity on to the next generation. We have to be better today than yesterday. Better tomorrow than today. We WILL be ready.
JeD KnIGHt

This December will be my three year anniversary of joining the Nu Skin Enterprises family. Being a part of Nu Skin Enterprises has dramatically transformed my life in many different aspects. Going from the motorcycle and snowmobile world to network marketing was a big change for me. I saw a company that offered a chance for me to obtain financial freedom, which in turn allows me to do the things I love: a fresh powder day up on the mountain, going on an afternoon Harley ride through the mountains with my wife, or being able to drop-off and pick-up my boys from school everyday. I also saw a company that needed new blood. Nu Skin Enterprises is a lot like a competitive race team. These teams are constantly in need of new riders to come up through the ranks. The team knows that eventually the pros will want to retire and possibly stay around to help coach the new blood. In a similar way, Nu Skin Enterprises has been a factory for producing the top leaders in the networking industry. These leaders eventually want to retire and they either stick around and help the new leaders learn the ropes or they disappear and enjoy the fruits of their labors. Just as a race team needs to keep its competitive edge, Nu Skin Enterprises differentiates itself by having the best products on the market; it constantly works to improve these products so that we as distributors have the advantage against all other products. Nu Skin Enterprises has also secured exclusive rights to a proprietary technology to help us always stay in first place. Whether its racing or in business, people like having a secret weapon or an advantage of some kind. With Nu Skin Enterprises arsenal of the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner, the Nu Skin ProDerm, and Maxcast, we as distributors

have many secret weapons to choose from. Nu Skin Enterprises is by far the best race team to be a part of. I look forward to spending the rest of my life as part of this team, doing good everywhere and changing peoples lives in a positive way. I also look forward to the new generation of leaders to come up through the ranks and eventually turn pro so that there is constant new blood and energy out there telling the world our story.
ryAn Fry

We all have a storya story that moves us and encourages us to do better and be better and make a huge difference in the world. My story is mine only. I remember feeling so empowered when I placed my executive order in January 2004 because it was my business and no one elses.** Before Nu Skin Enterprises, I worked as a beef jerky salesman for my brother. I worked for a salary, trading time for dollars like 95% of the population. We exploded as a company for one reasontrends. At the time, the Atkins diet was all the rage. We rode the wave for six years, working 14 to 16 hours every day, building our brand and company. As we went through this growth we could not keep up with it. We diluted ourselves in stock to raise more capital with venture capitalists. We lost majority share and went through a hostile takeover. I found myself with a pink slip and a four-day severance package. I remember that drive home and sitting down

my two daughters, Madison and Sophia, and my wife, who was pregnant with our third daughter. I told them I lost my job. I will never forget that day. I promised them that I would never put them in that position again. I use that experience to fuel my business. The only way to uphold that promise was Nu Skin Enterprises. The thing that is so unique with life is that when one door closes, it seems like seven more open. I attended a meeting and heard Nathan Ricks speak. He reprogrammed my thinking and finally helped me to see the power of this vehicle. I wanted to be a young leader that would help Nu Skin Enterprises get to the next level. I learned so many things from my beef jerky days that have helped in my business, but the best thing was meeting my best friend, Charley Patterson, whom I sponsored for four years as an athlete. He was the first person I sponsored into the business and we have worked together ever since. I am thankful everyday that one of my best friends, Jed Knight, opened his mouth to me in January 2004 and told me about this amazing business. I accepted the invitation. It has now taken me all over the worldinto 18 countries. There are so many people who are starving for the knowledge we possess. I feel it is my obligation to tell the world. This is what this company means to menot just being a part of it, but leading it. I hope we all want to lead this company and not just participate in it.

Just as a race team needs to keep its competitive edge, Nu Skin Enterprises differentiates itself by having the best products on the market.

Rhoni Barton-Bishoff
n April of 2005, the doctor said it looked like a careerending injury. But, Rhoni wasnt ready to listen. This year, just months after being released to return to competition, she won her fifth U.S. Open overall title. Rhoni Barton-Bischoff has been water skiing since she was two and started competing just five years later. Now, at 30, Rhoni has won countless medals, trophies, and many other accolades her sport offers. But it was almost over with a knee injury, which forced her to miss all of the 2005 season. An injury like mine involves a year of rehab, but then theres another year to get back to where you were competitively, Rhoni explains. My first competition after the injury was in Qatar in April 2006. It was very gratifying to win the Open just five months later. Rhoni credits Pharmanex for helping her focus on the right actions during her rehab. I put in a lot of hard work in the gym, and Pharmanex helped me stay focused on eating right and taking my supplements, plus getting scanned every few weeks, Rhoni says. Rhoni and her husband, Chris, were introduced to Pharmanex by Charley Patterson in the fall of 2005. Chris runs

the Pro Wakeboard Tour; as a former pro wakeboarder, Charley is a judge on the tour. But, Rhoni is subject to random drug testing and was skeptical. I said, no way, supplements arent regulated. If I get a two-year suspension from a supplement, what does the company care? But after visiting Provo and seeing how dedicated the company is to real science and research, I was sold, Rhoni says. Now, she is a member of Team g3 and is excited about spreading the word about this unique Pharmanex juice product. She also uses Cartilage Formula, MarineOmega, and lifepak nano. The three things most damaging to anti-oxidant protection are smoking, being in the sun, and traveling by airplane. I dont smoke, but Im in the sun 12 hours a day. And of course, I fly all over the world to competitions, she says. Its so good to have products that help keep up my antioxidant protection. Its a big deal to get off an airplane and be ready to compete, instead of feeling run down. While some may think being a high profile athlete gives Rhoni special advantages as a distributor, she believes society is giving a lot of attention to wellness and good health. Its so easy these days to talk about eating right, taking care of yourself, and exercising, she says.

Nourish the Children Update

ChinaNourishing Hands Provide Relief
storm DIsAsters In sIx provInces

From July 14th to 17th, 2006, six provinces including Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi were affected by rainstorm, landslide and mudflow caused by the tropical storm called Bilis. And from July 26th to July 30th, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan and Guangdong provinces were again swept by flood disasters related to Kaemi. According to statistics for Julys storms, over 146 million people were affected, 5.91 million relocated, 978 died and 310 missing. In addition, 593 thousand houses were destroyed. The direct economic loss exceeded about 8.6 billion dollars. Hunan and Fujian provinces were the most seriously affected regions. To respond to the flood disaster, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) distributed a very large number of gifts in-kind including 1,834 bags of VitaMeal to the cities of Chenzhou, Hengyang, and Yongzhou. Approximately 11,000 children benefited from this program.

vItAmeAL HeLps smALL cHILD

One recipient of VitaMeal was a little boy of only a year and a half by the name of He Chengyi. Since his family was seriously affected in the tropical storm Bilis they received some limited and simple food items from the local government. He Chengyi was given some soft rice or porridge, though he did not like that much. When the CFPA staff visited the mass living place for those displaced by the storm, they selected this boy as a beneficiary of Nourish the Children VitaMeal. Now he can eat healthier and be happier too.
