Your initial admission is "provisional" pending verification of your official transcript(s) to the self-reported academic information you provided

on your CSUMentor application. Provisional admission allows you to make earlier plans to attend SJSU. All self-reported information is subject to verification. You must take all of the following actions to complete the enrollment process: 1. Complete the multi-step Intent to Enroll process on the Next Steps website (https://nextsteps.sjsu.edu) by the May 1 deadline. See the enclosed Frosh 101 brochure for more details regarding the website. Indicate through the Intent to Enroll link that you accept SJSU's offer of provisional admission. Once you accept, you are certifying that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions and that you are making a commitment to attend SJSU. Sign up for all required placement exams. See the enclosed Frosh 101 for more details regarding test dates and requirements, and information about the Early Start Program. Sign up for and pay the $215.00 fee for mandatory frosh orientation. If required, apply for on-campus housing, pay the $50.00 application fee and the initial deposit. Wait 3-5 business days: a confirming email will be sent to you from the nextsteps@sjsu.edu email account. Print and keep the Next Steps receipt email.

2. Complete all coursework designated on your application as "in progress" or "planned" with a grade of "C" or better. You may not use Summer 2012 courses to meet or make up coursework or grade requirements. No exceptions. 3. Send your official, final high school transcript with confirmation of your final graduation date postmarked no later than Sunday, July 15, 2012. Failure to submit your transcript will result in your application being withdrawn, even if you have received financial aid, signed up for housing, attended orientation or registered for Fall classes. 4. If you have taken AP exams to satisfy any of the CSU admission requirements, contact the College
Board now and request that your official scores be sent to SJSU.

Deadline for completion of the Intent to Enroll process You must notify us of your Intent to Enroll by 11:59 pm PDT, Tuesday, May 1, 2012. If you do not complete the multi-step Intent to Enroll Process by the May 1 deadline, we will withdraw your application.

Satisfying the ELM/EPT placement test requirement You must satisfy the ELM/EPT test requirement before you will be allowed to register for classes. Step two of the Next Steps process will indicate your exemption status for the ELM/EPT. In order to register for classes during your orientation session, you must take any required tests no later than the Saturday, April 28, 2012 test administration. Verifying your course work An internal review of your application will be conducted and, if any of your self-reported information fails to pass verification, your admission will be cancelled, even if you have received financial aid, signed up for housing, attended orientation or registered for Fall classes. Transcripts You will submit a transcript only after you graduate from high school but postmarked no later than Sunday, July 15, 2012. This transcript must include your date of high school graduation. In addition, you must submit official college transcripts for any coursework that you completed while you were in high school by no later than Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Failure to do so will result in your admission being rescinded. You can avoid this by carefully and frequently monitoring your MySJSU account throughout the remainder of the process. We reserve the right to rescind your admission for non-compliance to the conditions stated in the admissions letter at any time during the process even if you have signed up for housing, applied for financial aid or attended orientation. Finally We offer provisional admission based on your self-reported information on your admission application. All of this information must be verified before you are allowed to enroll and register for classes at SJSU. This offer of admission is good only for this term and may not be deferred to another semester.
