Butterfly Writing Craftivity


Directions: 1. Copy both butterfly patterns ( front and back) onto colored construction paper. 2. Use patterns to also cut out lined paper in the butterfly shape for the inside of the butterfly booklet. 3. Pass out to students one copy of the front of the butterfly and one of the back along with 4 sheets of lined paper in the butterfly shape. 4. Students are to assemble their butterfly into a booklet and staple along the left hand side. 5. Students may decorate their butterfly. 6. Students are to use their writing draft to neatly write in their butterfly.

Butterfly Writing Ideas!


1. Butterfly Report- Use the Graphic organizer on the next page for students to organize their ideas for a butterfly report. Gather books for the students to look through. The following website is very helpful and student friendly with information about butterflies: www.enchantedlearning.com/ subjects/butterfly/allabout 2. Students can create a butterfly story using the graphic organizer which has the beginning, middle, and end. 3. Students can write about their favorite things about spring.
