EIP(effective oil interceptor plate pack) separates oil from water by floating the oil, which is disposed inside an oil-water separation bath, and causes significant changes in a flow direction of an oil-water mixture to induce a non-laminar flow in the oil-water mixture and hence cohesions of oil particles, and allows the oil to safely float without disturbance and be separated from water, thereby further improving the capacity of separating oil from water. In the case of an oil-containing liquid, the layer separation cann ot easily occur when oil and water have small differences in specific gravity, whereas the layer separation can occur without a difficulty when the oil and water have a large difference in specific gravity. Particularly, fine oil particles may be passed to subsequent processing equipment on water before oil is separated from water. In order to prevent this, the oil water separation bath must have a sufficient depth, which, however, causes a disadvantage in that the size of the oil water separation bath is excessively larger. In the case of corrugated plates, when sludge with a relatively larger specific gravity accumulates on the corrugated plates, the collision of the oil water mixture with the plates can be weakened, so as to reduce efficiency of oil separation. As a result, it is necessary to periodically disassemble the oil water separation bath needed in order to remove the sludge from the corrugated plates. In order to solve all mentioned problems, EIP was developed. Not only can the sludge be removed effectively, water and oil also can flow and be dispersed uniformly, and floating oil cannot be drifted away on a water flow while rising on water. In addition, oil agglomeration or oil containing sludge with a specific gravity similar to that of water, i.e., a specific gravity of about 1.0 can be easily separated.

EIP provides an oil water separation pack for separating oil from water, which includes an upper body having a cross-sectional shape narrowing from the bottom to the top, the upper body including an oil rising region provided in an inside central portion thereof, and an oil-discharging opening provided in the top portion thereof; a lower body disposed beneath the upper body, the lower body including a plurality of oblique flow-in ports for allowing an oil water mixture to flow obliquely into an inside portion thereof, and flows of the oil-water mixture, obliquely introduced into the inside of the lower body, to collide with each other and stagnate in the inside portion of the lower body, thereby enabling the oil to float and be separated from water; and a coupling unit integrally coupling a bottom portion of the upper body with a top portion of the lower body, thereby forming a continuous space extending from the body to the upper body, the continuous space allowing oil to float therethrough.

CPI System(Corrugated Plate Interceptor) is the most widely used oil water separator. It separates oil and sludge from the oily waste water using the specific gravity difference separation method. With multiple pieces of slate plates or corrugated plates or improved efficiency of oil separation plates installed being slanted at a 45 angle, or horizontally, th e flows ar e in duced to go from th e to p portion to th e bottom portion. Due to the separate oil particle float way, oil particles rise and sludge subsides.

3 types (8m/m, 12m/m, 19m/m) of plate spacing can be selected relying on the characteristic and status of waste water. 3 to 10 ppm can be processed according to the inflow density. Oil can be removed to the level of 5PPM or less. Oil particles bigger than 30 to 60 micron can be 100 percent removed. Oil with a temperature of 0 to 100 degrees Celsius and PH 2 to 10 can be processed. Oil floating on the surface of water is removed using Pipe Oil Skimmer. When oil is mixed with sludge, its specific gravity become similar to that of water and it passes through the oily water separation tank. In that case, it can be completely removed by the adsorbent of the filtering tank. It is appropriate for removing 1000 PPM or lower oil It is appropriate for the waste water containing a little sludge.

SIMPLE MAINTENANCE The number of maintenance varies depending on the amount of sludge but normally cleaning the plates with warm water once a year is enough for its maintenance and no cleaning is necessary in some cases. 6. REUSABILITY OF THE SEPARATED OIL The separated oil is released by oil skimmer into the oil storage tank through the separate oil outlet so the oil can be reused as required. 7. SEPARATION PROCESSES CAN BE REIVEWED The oil water separation tank is a fully open type using natural pressure so the operation status can always be reviewed.

An influx of original waste water or part of the processed water with air from an air compressor is brought into a pressurized tank in which air is dissolved into the waste water. Then the air dissolved waste water is brought into the floatation tank in which extremely tiny air bubbles are created and oil particles and a flock of sludge are captured and adsorbed to them. Then the adsorbed oil particles and sludge float. There are two types of pressurization, a whole pressurization pressurizing the whole waste water and a partial pressurization pressurizing part of the waste water.

The size of a created air bubble is 5~15 . The space of the floatation tank has been minimized by using flotation separation plates. Dissolubility of air has been maximized. Operation is easy and flotation efficiency is high.

The 21st century is called as the age of global environment. Accordingly, the release of factory waste water has already been regarded as illegal. If particles, bacteria, emulsion mixed oil, heavy metal ions are removed from factory waste water, it can be reused. However, one of the reasons why it has not been reused is because of the high cost of using a net filter fine enough to remove 0.1 particles. The initial and intermediate cost has made its implementation impossible. Also, a large precipitation tank was needed for the injection of large amount of cohesive agents and the long time of cohesion and precipitation to remove heavy metal ions. Furthermore, due to the injection of large amount of cohesive agents, the quantity of organic substances contained in waste water has increased and, consequently, it has become difficult to reuse the processed wasted water as pure water. Without using cohesive agents, this system simply uses SA filter for cohesion and filtering to remove particles, bacteria, emulsion mixed oil particles and heavy metal ions.

The cylinder type filter is filled with special adsorbents whose main constituent is magnesium hydroxide. Being in the waste water of the pH range lower than point of zero electric charge, the surface of special adsorbents is charged with electricity. The charged tiny oil particles of OH are attached to the surface of special adsorbents and they are cohered and filtered without using cohesive agents. The heavy metal ions in the waste water are coupled with OH released in it to become flocks(a precipitate which has a shape of cotton) which are cohered to remove heavy metal ions.

Waste water is passed through the special adsorbent whose main constituent is magnesium hydroxide. Tiny particles including oil particles in the waste water is cohered to become hundreds of large lumps. The large lumps are flowed into the flotation tank. Passing through EIP packs in the floatation tank, the large lumps are floated and processed. The wastewater containing excessively many oil particles should be passed through SA Filter after pre-processing.

Even though IAF Oil Water Separator used to be utilized in the mining industry, it is now widely used for water and waste water treatment. Air or gas is injected into the waste water to create tiny air bubbles to which oil particles and sludge are attached. Then the attached air bubbles float upward for separation.

Description of Main Body Structure There are 2 to 4 cells installed serially in IAF Oil Water Separator and the waste water to be processed pass through the cells sequentially. Each cell has its own motor which rotates to rotate the air bubble creation device installed at the bottom. The oil particles and sludge floated by air bubbles are discharged to the outside by the skimmer installed at its side. Principle of Air Bubble Creation When the air bubble creation device linked to the shaft rotates, an inside pressure is created and the gas is sucked down into the liquid and they are mixed with each other. Then the compounds are pushed down into a hole while creating air bubbles in the tank.

Belt Oil Skimmer is used to remove the floated oil particles from the oily waste water. Special non-woven fabric belt is installed vertically at the water surface of oil particle flotation. Oil particles are attached to the motor operated belt and conveyed to the top side for re-separation processing. It is used mainly for a place with a fluctuating water level or a separation tank with a narrow width.

Having buoyancy in itself, the drum processes floated oil particles by rotating on the water surface.

No separate device is needed for buoyancy. The RPM of the drum is adjusted to the viscosity and capacity of oil particles. No separate oily water separator is needed due to its high efficiency of collecting oil particles. Large amount of oil particles can be processed. The processing of oil particles is possible even in the shallow water (10 ). It can be used for processing all types of oil particles.

There are cold rolling and hot rolling in the manufacturing processes of forged rolls. With the cold rolling, a melted metal is quenched and with the hot rolling, it is slowly cooled down. Conveyor system which is an automatic device for movi ng products or materials has head pulley and tail p ulley. The head pulley operates pulley using the po wer of a motor and the tail pulley maintains the belt tension. Rubber(HS55~65) with high hardness is attached to the outside of the pipe of the head pul ley for the purpose of smooth movement and resistance to abrasion of the belt and is covered.

Chain sprocket is a basic power conveying device. To convey the motor power to each part using the chain, the sprocket is assembled with the mot or shaft. So a material higher than S45C (high-frequency heat treatment HRC55~65) should be used for the sprocket. Determination on its specification including format, material and number of teeth plays a very important role for the life of the sprocket.
