DEAR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS Mechanical engineering is one of Germanys biggest industrial sectors and most important exporters. It manufactures the means of production and goods for all sectors of the nations economy. The foreseeable demand for well educated and highly qualified mechanical engineers women and men alike continues to be strong. With its excellent contacts with industry and partner universities abroad, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences can offer opportunities way beyond the courses strictly technical content. With the seven-semester B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, you will be studying for a first academic degree qualifying you for employment in this demanding field. You are making a good choice! STUDY CONTENT
As a budding mechanical engineer, you will acquire the knowledge and abilities needed to design, build, manufacture and operate machinery, equipment and plant in a wide variety of different applications. The understanding of fundamental scientific and technical principles which the course imparts establishes a basis for an ability to develop promising and successful solutions in your future career. You will learn design skills in modern well-equipped facilities using the latest software and working on practical examples. You will also develop an understanding of the manufacturing processes for machine components and gain insights into the operation of plant and machinery under experienced guidance in advanced courses and in modern laboratories.

COURSE STRUCTURE
The Bachelor degree course runs over seven semesters (including one placement semester) and is divided into three study periods:

MASTER DEGREE COURSES


Students may qualify for entry to a subsequent Master degree course e.g. M.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, M.Eng. Industrial Engineering subject to satisfactory academic attainment.
