CHANGE OF VOICE PLAN THROUGH SMS INTRODUCED.

SMS based change of GSM voice plans under 2G & 3G Postpaid services introduced in Tamilnadu LSA (including CHTD) with effect from 01.08.2011 and this is an additional facility to the existing procedure of submitting a written request at CSCs for any change of plan. The details are given below:i) Plans eligible to change through SMS:(1) Plan 99, (2) Plan 175, (3) Plan 225, (4) Plan 325, (5) Plan 525, (6) Plan725, (7) Plan1500. ii) Procedure to change the Plan through SMS:The customer has to originate SMS from the mobile to which the plan change is required. SMS to be given to 53733 as below: (1) To change the Plan: CHG<space><Old Plan name><space><New Plan name> For example, CHG PLAN-325 PLAN-525 (For changing from Plan-325 to Plan-525). If the request is in order, a reply message will be sent to the customer as follows: Your request for change of PLAN from PLANXXX to PLANXXX is received. For confirmation pl send SMS PLANXXXY to 53733-BSNL MOBILE. After getting the above reply SMS, the confirmation SMS is to be given to 53733 by the customer as described above. (2) If the request is not in order, a reply message will be sent to the customer as follows: Dear Customer, Your request for change of tariff plan is regretted due to . Pl contact on toll free 1503 or visit CSC-BSNL. (3) After successful Plan change, an SMS will be sent to the customer as follows: Dear Customer, Your tariff plan has been changed to PLANXXX. Thank You. BSNL. iii) Plan change processing details: The plan change request will be effected within 24hrs after receipt of SMS of plan change. The customer can opt for the SMS based plan change once in a calendar month. There is no charge for change of plan through SMS.
ARE YOU AN ENNANBAN SUPER PLAN CUSTOMER? DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE LANDLINE TELEPHONE NUMBER UNDER FRIENDS & FAMILY? Change of Landline telephone number under FFL in Ennanban Super Plan of 2G prepaid mobile services is allowed subject to the following conditions in Tamilnadu LSA (incl. CHTD) with effect from 26.08.2011. 1. Customer has to send SMS to 53733 for change of FFL number as FFLM<space>Old number<space>New number. 2. Minimum balance of Rs.50 is to be maintained at the time of sending the SMS request. If minimum balance is available, FFLM will be executed and Rs.5/- will be deducted for the change. 8
3. If minimum balance is not available, a reply SMS from Trichy IN will be sent to the customer with a request to top up the amount with minimum Rs.50/- or above. 4. Customer can change the FFL number once in THREE months only. If any request is received from the customer before the expiry of 3 months period, a reply SMS will be sent by IN as follows: Dear Customer! Your SMS request is rejected as you are eligible to change your FFL number on or after xx-xx-xx(dd/mm/yy) To begin with, this change of FFL facility is being implemented for Ennanban Super in 2G prepaid mobile services in TN LSA (incl. CHTD) Note: The existing procedure for changing FFL number through CSCs on written request is withdrawn.

A new Value Added Service introduced BSNLs Bharatberry

BSNL launched the services viz. Bharatberry [Push E-mail & PIM (Personalized information Management) Sync. services] on 14.11.2011.
Bharatberry service allows you to: get email pushed to your mobile phone from virtually any of your email accounts perform synchronization of your Contacts, Calendar, Notes and Tasks etc. across your mobile phone and Bharatberry server
To use this service, you should have a mobile phone enabled with GPRS or WIFI or 3G service for internet connectivity.
Push Mail Service:

What to do with the BharatBerry Push Mail?
The Bharat Berry Push Mail Client allows you to perform all of the following from your mobile phone: Keep your remote email inbox in sync with the Bharat Berry Push Mail Client inbox
Compose and send emails Receive push email notifications which inform you of new emails on your mobile phone without you having to explicitly ask for new email Read, delete, reply, forward, or flag emails View attachments through the native browser of the phone (support varies based on phone model) Detect URLs in your emails and go to them directly on your mobile phone Call the sender of a received email, if the sender is stored in your contacts list with a phone number Work offline
How to get push email on your phone?

While installation, try to download the push client in your mobile device, once it is successfully downloaded check the Bharat berry push client icon on the menusinstallations /Downloads of the device and click on it. It prompts you to enter the user name and password to authenticate and you will be able to view your emails on the device. You can map multiple mail accounts in your handset by using Bharat berry service. The maximum number of mail IDs that can be configured is 10.
PIM (Personalized Information Management) Sync. Service: You can sync your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes.
Yes, using Bharat berry PIM sync Client, you can synchronize the contacts, calendar, tasks and notes that you have in your mobile phone (not the configured email account) with the Bharat berry server.

How to install Bharatberry (Push Mail Client & PIM Sync) in mobile Handsets?
Please check your handset for the internet connectivity thro GPRS or WiFi or 3G Service. 1. Send SMS as SUB BB to 51123 2. You will receive a link through SMS 3. Click on the link, a page will open with the list of manufacturers in it. Select the appropriate manufacturer (eg . Nokia or Blackberry) as per your handheld device 4. Once you have selected the manufacturer, a page will appear with the list of models in it, select the appropriate model of your handheld device 5. Next it will prompt you to select the plan. Click on the plan which you would like to subscribe, E.g. if you require only PIM Sync then check the PIM Sync radio button, if you require only mail client service then check the push client radio button, and if you require both then check the Combo plan radio button. After selecting your plan, check the checkbox near "I accept the terms and conditions", then click subscribe selected services" button 6. A window will appear asking for your First Name, Last Name and email ID. These details are for record purpose only. After entering your details, click on Proceed 7. If you have selected Push Mail service or Combo service, you will be asked to type the email account details (email Id and password), which you would like to set up on your handheld device, in the next page 8. Configure all the email ID /port settings in the next page and click on test and apply settings to confirm you that your settings has been configured successfully 9. Click on the provided links to install the PIM Sync and Push mail client application to your device 10. click download option to download the application

Steps to install BSNL Bharatberry (Push Mail service & PIM Synch) in Blackberry Device
First check the GPRS/WIFI connectivity by accessing any internet site Step 1: Send SMS as SUB BB to 51123 Step 2: A reply message will be received with a thank you note and a link on it Step 3: Click on the link. Step 4: A Page will open which will have a option to select the manufacturer, select the appropriate manufacturer (eg . Nokia or Blackberry whichever model you have ) Step5 : Select the Model of the handset. Step6: Then it will prompt you to select the plan, click the box near by the PIM synch for only PIM Synch , if not then click the push client option or click Combo plan for both PIM synch and push client and then click on the box nearby I accept the terms and conditions then click subscribe selected services Step7: It will get the confirmation whether you want to get a 1 month free trial , then click yes Step8: You get a window page to key in the first name and last name and email id to enter, enter the details and click on Proceed Step9: If you have selected Push Mail service or Combo service the next page is to type the email id and the password of which you would like to receive the mails in your handset. Step10 : Configure all the email ID /port settings in the next page and click on test and apply settings to confirm you that your settings has been configured successfully

February 2012 Cost of dummy SIM revised w.e.f. 17.02.2012:

The cost of dummy (replacement) SIM has been revised as follows: 2G SIM card: Rs.100 /3G SIM card: Rs.139/This is applicable to C-Topup SIM also.
Procedure for deletion/readmission of CUG is revised.

The following revised procedure is implemented in TN Circle w.e.f 27-02-12 to delete or re-admit a CUG customer from or into a CUG group. Deletion of Number from CUG Group (by Principal GSM number only) For deletion of a number from the CUG Group, the SMS has to be initiated by the Principal GSM Number only, since the Person designated as Principal GSM Number might have planned for SIZE of the Group towards his commitment for the monthly rental component .The syntax for this is DEL<space>CUG_ID<space>GSM NUMBER TO BE DELETED to 53733. IMPORTANT: If the number had been deleted on receipt of SMS from the Principal Number, readmission is allowed only on receipt of SMS from Principal number.
Re-Admission of ex-CUG Number (who is deleted due to insufficient balance) At present the re-admission of CUG number into CUG group is entertained only if the SMS request is received from the Principal Number. Now it is decided to readmit ex-CUG customer even if the SMS request is originated from ex-CUG Customer himself (instead of from the Principal Number), using the following syntax. READMIT<space>CUG_ID to 53733 On receipt of the SMS, IN shall validate the number and the CUG Group ID. If they are correct and if the customer is having sufficient balance, number will be readmitted into the CUG Group after deducting the rent for the CUG group for that month. Customer will be sent SMS regarding re-admission as Your mobile number is readmitted in the CUG group with ID Number If the validation fails, then also a suitable SMS will be sent to the customer. i.e. Your request for readmission is rejected as (a) CUG-Id is not correct (b) insufficient balance for CUG rent deduction. Pl top up immediately and submit the request for readmission Change of Principal GSM Number for a Particular CUG Group Provision for change of Principal GSM Number for a Particular CUG Group is made available in the front end of Sancharsoft and it can be done only at the CSC where the CUG Group was created. This will be done on getting a written request from the Principal GSM Customer only. 19

Promotional offer of IFWT under CDMA:

BSNL Corporate Office has re-launched promotional offer of IFWT under CDMA Prepaid Services from 01-01-2012 to 31-03-2012 ( 90 days). The salient features of the promotional offer are enumerated below: Sale price of IFWT ( New) : Rs.900 Sale price of recovered IFWT : Rs.250 Talk time : Rs.200/month for 8 months (BSNL net work only) Full talk time equal to MRP on all recharge coupon vouchers. 50% Extra talk value on all Topups and Flexi Topups.
Revision in tariff of C-top-up SIM

The minimum transaction requirement per month for C-Top-up SIMs for availing the special tariff is reduced from Rs.3000 to Rs.1000 per month for urban retailers also. The special tariff is for those channel partners as per the list that will be provided by Sales wing every month. All other existing terms and conditions will remain same.
December 2011 SPECIAL SCHEME CHOOSE YOUR MOBILE NUMBER LAUNCHED

BSNL Tamilnadu Circle has launched a special scheme called Choose Your Mobile Number in GSM prepaid service w.e.f. 16.12.2011. Under this scheme a customer can select his/her mobile number out of the list of about one lakh numbers available. Customers can logon to website http://tamilnadu.bsnl.co.in and go to the page of Choose Your Mobile Numbers by mouse click on the link available in the web page. Select the prepaid mobile number in the list under Choose Nos. A PIN number (Personal Identity Number) with 7 digits will be generated and sent to the customer on the mobile number entered in the web-page. Customer needs to input the 7 digit PIN to confirm the selection of the Mobile Number. Also, SMS option for selecting the normal mobile number is available for customers. BSNL customers should send SMS to 53733 and Non-BSNL customers should SMS to 9400012345. Any BSNL customer can get the list of spare numbers by sending SMS NLIST XXXXX to 53733 in which, XXXXX can be any 3 to 5 ending digit. A list of 10 spare numbers with matching XXXXX will be sent to the mobile number from which the request is initiated. Or 20
NLIST to 53733. In this case, any 10 spare random numbers will be sent. For reservation of GSM numbers the Customer has to text as CONF <number chosen>to 53733 (BSNL) or 9400012345 (Non-BSNL). The number selected will be reserved for the subscriber for 72 hours within which the customer has to activate the selected number by approaching the nearest Customer Service Centre; otherwise, the reserved number will be cancelled and taken back to the spare list.
NEW VOICE STV (BOOSTER) 152 & 611 ARE INTRODUCED.

Two new Voice STVs (Boosters) of MRP 152 & 611 through C-TOP-UP in 2G/3G Prepaid mobile services in Tamilnadu LSA (including Chennai Telecom District) with effect from 24.12.2011. Only at CSCs in Tamilnadu Circle the Bundling of 2G/3G prepaid plans with FRC has been permitted w.e.f. 05.12.2011. Henceforth, the 2G (MRP Rs.20) and 3G (MRP Rs.59) SIMs are renamed as 32K SIM and 128K SIM and there is no change in the sale price of SIM Card. i.e. 32K SIM cost Rs.20 and 128K SIM cost Rs.59 only.

On merger into Saral Anant Special Plan, i) the existing validity, ii) 2F&F BSNL Local numbers and one STD number and iii) Activated STVs (or boosters) if any, will be carried forward in the case of Active & GP1 customers of (old) Saral Anant(I) plan.

The existing default recovery of Rs. 25.39 for 30 days validity extension will continue to be available for the student customers who do not use the above RCVs The new RCVs are to be made available through C-TOP UP only to Student Special Plan customers only with the usual conditions (i.e. unutilized free SMS/DATA/validity available with the existing validity will be carried forward subject to max of 450 days). ARE YOU PARA MILITARY FORCE (PMF) OR ANY ARMED FORCE (AF) PERSONNEL HAVING BSNL OR OTHER OPERATOR MOBILE? CHANGE YOUR MOBILE PLAN TO BSNLS JAIJAWANPLAN
PMF/All Armed Forces personnel having BSNL connection or other operator connection can now change to JAIJAWAN plan in TN LSA (incl. CHTD for 2G only) plan with effect from 22-09-2011. The procedure to be followed is given below:-
I) Procedure for the Change of Plan to JaiJawan Plan by the PMF/Armed Forces personnel having a BSNL connection through CCM module:
1. PMF/AF personnel using BSNL connection shall approach the nearest CSR along with the Proof (Working in PMF/All Armed Forces) 2. CSR shall enter the mobile number of the Customer after validating his identity and enter the same in the Plan Change (Migration) Menu Available in CCM. 3. CSR shall also ensure that a minimum balance of Rs.50/- is available in the Account of the Customer. 4. After entering the relevant information in CCM through the Menu, CCM at the back end pushes the request of the Customer to Trichy IN with the status as PMF-Interim . 5. An amount of Rs.29.01 (FRC Amount Rs32 minus S.tax) from the customer account will be deducted and the PMF /AF customer will be placed in PMF Interim Plan with validity of 30 days.

6. The balance amount in the previous plan will be carried forward but the validity of the previous plan will not be carried forward. Existing STVs in the previous plan, will be carried forward on plan change to JAIJAWAN plan 7. The tariff of the PMF Interim Plan is same as that of the existing Jaijawan plan without the freebies. The STVs/TOPUPs , as per the Jaijawan plan, are allowed. 8. The PMF/AF customer will be placed in Jaijawan plan, only when the customer applies RCV 97 within 30 days validity period of PMF Interim Plan period; if not, the number will be placed in GP1 subsequently in GP2 status as per the prevailing conditions.. 9. To continue in this Jaijawan plan, the customer has to put RCV97 every month which extends the validity by 30 days and it is through C-TOP-UP only. 10. 3G DATA RCVs in the previous plan, if any, will NOT be carried forward. 11. Existing F&F numbers (& FFL number wherever applicable) in the previous plan will NOT be carried forward to JAIJAWAN plan. Hence, F&F numbers are to be re-registered afresh. Activation procedure of 5 F & F numbers to be done by Jaijawan plan customer (Para Military Force/All AF Personnel) through SMS to 53733. 1. For the first 20 minutes free to two BSNL Mobile /Fixed LL/ WLL numbers, anywhere in India, the syntax is:

Rs.5 per number per occasion will be recovered for change in 5 F&F numbers. For change of F&F numbers, SMS to 53733 as FFM <space><old number ><space>< New number> II) MNP procedure for PMF/AF Customer:- (i.e. PMF/All AF Personnel having a mobile connection of other operators) The PMF/ AF personnel having mobile connection of other operators can also change to this Special plan JaiJawan with the same number, through MNP module in Sancharsoft applying the FRC32. The freebies of the FRC32 are applicable to the PMF/AF customer. CSCs will verify the identity of the customer being PMF/ AF Personnel before allowing the change to Jaijawan plan through MNP. All other terms and conditions are same as in the Jaijawan plan.
Promotional Special Tariff Vouchers for reduced tariff on ISD Voice/SMS under 2G & 3G services are made as permanent plans.
ISD STVs under prepaid and Optional ISD Packs under postpaid mobile services are made as a regular tariff under 2G & 3G mobile services with effect from 16.09.2011. FMCs of Optional ISD packs under postpaid services: Rs.20, 23, 25, 35 & 40 (S.Tax extra) MRP of STVs under prepaid services: Rs.24, 26, 27, 38 & 41 (with 30 days validity) and Rs.9, 11, 16 & 18(with 7 days validity) & 26 (incl. ANBUJODI PLAN ACTIVATION VOUCHER Rs. 22 :

Existing customers of various plans who wish to change over to ANBUJODI plan, in Tamilnadu LSA (including Chennai Telecom District) can use Plan Activation Voucher Rs.22 to change their plan to Anbujodi Plan. This is applicable through C-Topup only w.e.f. 25.07.2011. Customer after changing the plan to Anbujodi, will be governed by all terms and conditions related to validity, F&F etc., as applicable to Anbujodi Plan only. On change over, the talk value and validity available in the old plan will be carried forward to the ANBUJODI plan. But the validity will be restricted to Maximum of 450 days, if the existing validity is more than or equal to 450 days. (As in Plans like Kurinji, Wonder plus etc.,). If the existing validity is less than 450 days, the same will be carried over. Existing F&F numbers, FFL number in the old plan will NOT be carried forward to ANBUJODI plan. Customer has to re-register afresh ONE BSNL Fixed L/L/WLL(Fixed/Limited mobility) number within TN LSA as FFL by sending SMS FFL<space><Landline number with STD CODE> to 53733 to avail Unlimited FREE Local calls. To extend the plan validity, the student special plan customer has to send SMS STUDENT28 to 53733, ONE TIME before the expiry of validity, keeping sufficient amount (for talk time + Rs.28 for monthly extension), in his account, so that his plan validity is extended automatically every month along with the free 300 local SMS and 100MB free data in addition to the balance SMS + Data and this procedure will be continued. Failure to give SMS as above, results in GP1 status and going back into active status is not possible at present, since extension of validity through C-TOPUP is not available. To overcome this, customers who choose the student special plan should give consent in CAF itself at the time of activating the plan, without fail, for automatic deduction of validity extension charges (Rs.25.39). Customers should keep sufficient amount in his account for automatic deduction to extend the validity every month.
ONLY 200 SMS PER DAY PER SIM

(Implemented as per TRAI guidelines): Applicable to All Tamilnadu & Chennai TD Mobile customers in 2G/3G In Prepaid/post paid services, it has been restricted to send only 200 SMS per day per SIM as per the TRAI regulatory order. CTOPUP numbers have been exempted from this restriction.

On migration, the balance amount will be carried forward. The existing STVs, if any, also will be carried forward on migration. Activation procedure for New CUG creation: The request from individual customers should be submitted to CSC The New Group creation or addition/deletion of new/old numbers in the Group will be done by CSC. All existing commercial formalities with respect to SIM will be adhered to along with CAF entry by CSC. In case of above said New customers, normal procedure of activation in Sancharsoft like Virgin Sim Rs.20/- and FRC Rs.42/- for Vinadi Special and Rs.48/- for all @ 49 Special should be made. The initial talk value the new customer gets on activation = TU11010.3% S.Tax- CUG rent (Rs.80 or Rs.60) CUG for existing customers: Existing customers under different plans will be brought either to 1p/Sec Special (Vinadi Special) or All @ 49 Special Plan with 180 days validity, according to their requirement in writing. After obtaining request letter from the customer, they can either be added to the existing group or allowed to form a new group. Their FNF will be Three and all the STVs availed by the customers will be carried forward even after forming the group for that particular customer. The F&F numbers in the old plans before forming the CUG will be nullified and the customers can re-register the reduced call charges by sending SMS 53733 as follows:FFE<SPACE><1st BSNLNumber><space>2ndBSNL Number><space><3rdBSNL Number>
1. CUG validity shall be fixed as 30/31 days (calendar month based) from the date of enrolment for the all the customers and the rent of Rs.80 or Rs. 60 will be deducted upfront only. CUG will be provided if sufficient balance in customers account is available.
2. While in CUG Group, the customer will enjoy the CUG facilities and also the 1ps/sec (Vinadi special) or All@49 Special plan facilities with sufficient balance in customers account. If CUG rental failure occurs (due to insufficient balance in the account) and if his plan validity does not exist, the customer will be pushed to GP1. 3. Customer should keep his/her main plan validity intact always with sufficient balance for CUG rent deduction. 4. If any of the group members is not having sufficient balance in his account, for advance rent for that month, system will wait for the next 3 consecutive days for at least the amount equal to the rental component and deduct the amount. If deduction is not possible, the customer Group ID will be removed and customers cannot enjoy CUG benefits and will be treated like a normal customer in the parent plan ((i.e 1ps/sec (vinadi Special) or all @49Special. 5. If an ex-member of the CUG group wants to rejoin the group, he/she may give SMS to 53733, indicating his Group ID as given below CUG<space> CUG ID (in 5 digits)

6. CUG group size will be checked at the end of the month. Accordingly the rent will be deducted on the next day (i.e. 1st day of subsequent month). The rent component will be changed as per the existing group size. 7. Rent for CUG service will be calendar based irrespective of the enrolling date. 8. If a new customer joins the group, after the first day of the calendar month, he will be charged upfront according to the size of the group he has joined. If there is any change in the group size from Group-1 to Group-2 because of his addition, the rent will be deducted for the new customer only as per the changed group size. The new Group size CUG rent is applicable for rest of the customers in the group only from the next calendar month. 9. NO NEGATIVE balance is allowed for these CUG numbers. 10. If any member of the CUG is on ROAMING, the roaming charges will as per the plan and no free calls are allowed within CUG. Note:

Conditions for use of multiple boosters (STVs)

For Boosters in Group-I General The customer can use maximum of one BOOSTER (STV) from the group at the same time. Customer is not barred from using a second BOOSTER (STV) from the same group. However, if he uses a second BOOSTER from the same group, the new BOOSTER (STV) activated will override the existing BOOSTER in operation and the validity for the new BOOSTER (STV) is counted from the date of activation of the new BOOSTER (STV). Can use *124# to know the BOOSTER (STV) validity.
For Boosters in Group-II- unlimited Local/ STD voice. The customer can use maximum of one BOOSTER from the group at the same time. If he uses a second booster from the same group and. If the existing validity of the earlier booster is higher, then the higher validity is maintained. Can use *124# to know the BOOSTER (STV) validity.
For Boosters in Group-III Free SMS. The customer can use maximum of one BOOSTER from the group at the same time. On expiry of BOOSTER validity, balance SMS if any will be nullified. However, if customer uses any other SMS BOOSTER in the same group within the validity period of the existing free SMS Booster, balance SMS if any will be carried forward. Can use *124# to know the BOOSTER (STV) validity.

UNIFIED MESSAGING ON BSNL MOBILE

Voice Mail Service (VMS), FAX Message, E-Mail, E-Mail to Speech (ETS) are the services you can get under UMS. 1. Voice-Mail Using this feature, the voice mail can be send/received to/by other subscribers having this facility. The incoming voice message from the mailbox can be accessed as per following procedure: Conditional divert can be given for the voice calls to the voice-mailbox no. i.e. 17000. Whenever a voicemail is received in voice-mailbox, the subscriber will receive an SMS on his/her cell phone. In order to retrieve messages from the voice-mailbox, dial 17000 from your mobile phone. Press * to skip the introduction part. The message can be retrieved by following the voice menus thereafter. The voice mailbox can be accessed on landline also as per below mentioned procedure: In order to retrieve messages from your voice-mailbox by using landline phone, dial 9417017000 (which is the common access no.) followed by '#', then your own mobile no. and '#'. The system will prompt you for your password. The default password is 1234. Enter your password and follow the voice menus thereafter. 2. FAX-Message This feature will enable the subscriber to send/receive fax message. The fax can be sent/received to/by the subscriber either through BSNL UMN account or using fax machine. The below mentioned procedure is to be adopted while sending or receiving the fax message on fax machine: 1. In order to deposit a FAX message, dial 9417017000 from a FAX machine followed by a '#' and the mobile no. of the person who is the intended recipient of the FAX. A part of the voice menu says " to add a FAX, press 3".Press 3 on your FAX machine and after the system prompts you to, press "START" on your FAX machine. 2. In order to retrieve a FAX message from your voice-mailbox, dial 9417017000 from a FAX machine. Then press '#' followed by your own mobile no. and '#'. The system prompts you for your password. Enter your password. The system tells you that you have so many new messages out of which so many are Voice/FAX/E-Mail messages. When you play a FAX message, first, system will announce the senders phone number and the time when the sender had deposited that Fax Message. To Listen/Deposit to your voice messages, the machine must have the multimedia capability. The different kinds of messages e.g. voice messages, FAX messages etc will be listed under the subject heading as soon as you logon to your E-mail account. Click on the voice message and the system will play it directly (if your machine supports the 'sbc' format). If your machine doesnt support the 'sbc' format, first convert the message into the 'wav' format using the icon provided on the right hand side. Then system will prompt you to save that attachment to your hard disk. After saving, click on the wav file and the system will play it. ii. FAX Messages: The FAX message comes as an attachment in the TIFF format. Open the FAX message using an imaging program as for example the IMAGING on the Windows -NT. The first page will just give you the summary of the FAX message i.e. the total no. of pages in the FAX message, the no. from which the FAX message was sent etc. Then you can download the actual FAX message. 4. E-Mail to Speech (ETS): This feature will enable the subscriber to receive the Email on the mobile phone .In order to listen E-mail messages from your voice mailbox, dial the No: 17000 from your mobile phone. Press * to skip the introduction part. The system prompt will say ' to listen E-mail message Press Option '4', thereafter, follow the voice menus . The attachments along with Email cannot be listened from your voice mail box.

Security Deposit: Security deposit is required for Local/STD/ISD facility of new connections. It is non-interest bearing & refundable upon surrender subject to clearance of all dues. No security deposit is required for Local/STD facility from the following categories. BSNL employees Existing BSNL subscribers upon request with conditions Employees of Central/State Government and Central PSUs Bank employees who give ECS mandate from their own bank Central/ State Government & Central PSU's Corporate Customers taking minimum 5 connections in corporate name. LSA: Licensed Service Area is the area within which Mobile Services are provided by Service provider (i.e. BSNL) under the license issued by competent authority. Tamilnadu Circle includes all revenue districts excluding Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts and including Pondicerry Union Territory. For mobile services are concerned, Tamilnadu Circle and Chennai Telephones Area (Chennai, Kanchipuram & Tiruvallur) are considered as single LSA. Roaming: You can carry your mobile connection beyond your home LSA and use. In such cases, it is said to be that you are on roaming. Roaming service activation is absolutely free. While on roaming outgoing/ incoming call charges are applicable as per tariff plan. Voice/Video Call Charges: Local: Calls made to numbers within the LSA STD: Calls made beyond the LSA ISD: International calls The calls charges are applicable as per tariff plan & pulse rate. This will be normally for per minute or per second or specific duration. Data Download: 2G customers can download Data through GPRS i.e. Mobile Internet facility. 3G customers can down load data in

their mobile or using data cards through 3G Data service at a very high speed. The tariff for data downloads is applicable as per the data plan of you. SMS: Short Message Service is available to send text containing 160 Characters. The spaces between words will be also counted as characters. This may be from a Mobile phone to another mobile phone or one to many or PC to Mobile/Mobiles. Local/National/International SMS can be sent. The charges are applicable as per tariff plan chosen by you. MMS: Multi-media Messaging Service, through which, you can send and receive messages containing text, audio or video or combination of any or all. The mobile handset shall be combatable for MMS applications. Night Calling: Calls made between 11.00 p.m. and 06.00 a.m. The call charges will depend on the plan chosen by you. Friends & Family: This facility allows you to make Free calls or at reduced call charges to the selected mobile/fixed telephone numbers. The tariff is applicable as per the plan. On-net: It means, own network i.e. BSNL network. Off-net: It means other network of Private Operators i.e. other than BSNL. Top-up Vouchers: Top-up vouchers are used to extend the usage value and the validity of the plan under use. C-Top-up: Channel top-up is nothing but electronic recharge/top-up facility. Recharge or Top-up can be done through C-top-up for the specified values as preferred by you. Freebies: Freebies are the concessional tariff, free calls/SMS/Data downloads offered permanently or for limited/specific period or to specific numbers. Validity: SIM Validity It is normally for 7 Days. Within this period you shall activate your connection by using FRC. Plan validity The specified period of validity of the Plan chosen by you. Life time validity of plan - Life Time Validity means the License Period of the Operator. The License Period for Cellular Services of BSNL is 20 years w. e. f. 29.02.2000. However, the License is understood to be renewable further on its expiry. (Note: To continue the lifetime plan the recharge conditions specified along with the plan should be fulfilled). Grace Period(s) Grace Period: It is the period within which Recharge or Top-up shall be done by Customer with FRC/RC/Top-up as per the requirement of the plan. Grace Period 1 (GP-1): 15 days from the expiry of the validity of the plan. Grace Period II (GP-1I): Additional 165 days from the expiry of the Grace Period (GP-I) of the plan.

A. B. C. During the grace period, no O/G calls will be allowed except emergency (toll free) & IVR calls. However I/C shall be free during Grace Period I. The unutilized balance amount of the previous card can be carried forward in case of renewal within the Grace Period-I, otherwise it shall lapse. BSNL OFFERS FREE 3G DATA CARD (3.6 MBPS, Single Band, USB Type, Terracom Make ) to new customers of 3G prepaid data plan, who make a commitment of longer period as detailed below, in Tamilnadu LSA (incl. CHTD) with effect from 23.12.2011 .
The details are as under: 1. Cost of SIM Rs.20. 2. The bundled FREE DATA Usage along with Validity for the eligible FRCs is given below:64

At the time of creation of the DATA plan, the freebies for the first month will be given and for the subsequent months it will be given on 1st of calendar month. 6. The unutilized bundled free data usage during the month , if any, will be nullified at the end of the month and will not be carried forward. 7. During the initial validity period (15/8/6 months), customer will have the option to use either 3G DATA RCVs/DATA TUs or any TOPUPs (charges @ 4p/10KB) as per his choice to browse the internet. 8. DATA RCVs will increase the validity of Main Account upto a max. of 450 days. 9. DATA Top-Up(s) will work during the DATA RCV validity period only. 10. 3G Special plan will be the base voice plan for these DATA plans. 11. This promotional offer is valid for 90 days only. i.e. from 23.12.2011 to 21.03.2012.

The above, revised tariff will be allowed to all customers who want to take data plan from BSNL, irrespective of purchasing data card from BSNL or not. Extension of video call facility/3G DATA Facilities to 2G Prepaid customers by default. Existing 2 G prepaid plans are allowed for 3G services also. The difference between 2G and 3G services are (1) video call facility and (2) Data speed. The default Data speed for any 2G customer is upto 128kbps The default Data speed for any 3G customer is upto 3.6Mbps To enjoy the 3G facilities, the customer should have 3G enabled handset. 3G Tariff for Video call / Data will be applicable. 68
The customer has to choose Automatic / Dual mode in Network setting in his handset. This will enable him to view the 2G / 3G Network symbol. Any new or existing 2G customer can activate 3G data speed in two ways as following and enjoy all 3G facilities: By sending SMS ACT3G to 53733. On receipt of the SMS he will be provided with 3G Data speed after termination of any 2G Data voucher which is in use. For deactivation, the customer can send SMS DACT3G to 53733. On receipt of Deactivation SMS, the customers will be given 2G data speed. OR By using any one of the 3G data RCVs (MRP 103, 203, 403, 606, 716, 1102, 1503, 2003, 3003 - thro C-Top-up only). If any 2G Data RCV (old name -GPRS STV) MRP 7, 14, 98, 274, 555 (all 2G Data RCVs thro SMS only) is used, the speed will be brought back to 2 G Data speed (128kbps). While activating from 2G speed to 3G speed and vice versa, during the validity period, of the respective Data RCV, the left out volume of Data, availed through Data vouchers, in the respective speed, will be nullified. Even after expiry of 3G Data RCV, subscriber will continue to get 3G Data speed till he uses a 2G Data RCV (by SMS or by sending SMS DACT3G to 53733. The tariff beyond the free usage limit specified for each 2G & 3G Data RCVs is @ 4p/10KB uniformly. During the above said process, the basic voice tariff plan in 2G continues to remain the same.

Customer has to register for a new connection, specify the post paid data plan required and pay 1. Cost of SIM, 2. One month fixed monthly charges (FMC) of the plan chosen by him as advance 3. Refundable Security Deposit: for Local +STD - Rs 500 & for Local +STD+ ISD Rs 2000 4. Activation charges Rs 100 He will be allowed data usage as per the data plan.

Data charges for trial pack customers after use of 300MB or 15 days expiry shall be as per his base plan. *This will increase the validity of Main and dedicated accounts both. For existing 2G Data card customers. Now the existing data card of 2G services can be used for 3G services. The Data speed will be better than 144 Kbps.
BSNL allows usage of any voice plan combined with any 3G Data plans for 2G/3G Postpaid customers w.e.f. 01-04-11 All 3G Data plans are allowed for all voice plans in postpaid services Hence all customers in 2G/3G postpaid voice plan can take any 3G postpaid data plan available, on the same number, The call per SMS and other charges (except data charges) will be as per the voice plan. FMC of data plan will be added to the FMC of voice plan Similarly a postpaid data plan customer can take any voice plan on the same number and the freebies of both data plan and voice plan will be available to the customer.
