GENRAL DISCRIPTION
This project is very useful for Door security application. The lock itself is implemented in software. It operates a relay (for example to open a door) for a few seconds if someone enters the valid code. The secret code can be changed any time after entering the current code (Master code). The relay is provided to control the electro magnetic door lock. The secret code stores in the internal EEPROM of the micro controller so no need of the battery backup.
SALIENT FEATURES Outputs - Relays Contact rating - See text Operating voltage -12V AC / DC (nominal) Operating current - 100mA with no relays operated / 500mA with relays operated (Aprox) Door opening time - 10 second 3 X 4 Key board 4 TO 10 Digits Secret Code - (0 To 9) Buzzer to annunciate a key press, On board power, and relay status LEDs CIRCUIT EXPLANATION
There Is A Device, Built Around A PIC 16Fxxx Micro Controller, Which Activates An Output When The Correct Access Code Has Been Entered On Keypad. This Code Consists Of 4 To 10 Digits In The Range 0 To 9 The Code Can Be Changed By After Entering The Current Code (Master Code). Buzzer Has Been Added To Provide Input Feedback, The Number Of Beeps Indicates Weather The Input Has Been Entered Correctly Or Not.. This Circuit Is Eminently Suitable As An Electronic Door Lock, The Schematic Diagram In Figure 1 Shows Little More Than A Micro Controller With Power Supply, Keyboard, Relay. The RA0 to RA3 Has Connected With Keyboard Row 1 To 4. Rb4, Rb5, & Rb6 Is Keyboard Colon Line. The Micro Controller Pin No 14 Is VCC & 5 Is Ground. The Clock Frequency For Micro controller Is Generated By Crystal Y1 & C4, C5. Rb2 Is High When You Enter The Corrected Code, To Activate The Relay. Q1 Is Drive the Relay 1. Led D6 Is Indicate that The Relay Is On Or Off. Diodes D1-4 Form A Bridge Rectifier, Which Converts The AC Input Voltage Into A DC Level. They Also Allow A DC Input Voltage To Be Connected Either Way Around. Capacitor C1, C2 Smoothes The DC Output Of The Bridge Whilst C2 Provides High Frequency Decoupling
OPRATING
The out put is active for about one second after entering the access code. This is the common for use with electronic door locks. The keyboard layout is as follows The output is inactive when the circuit is powered up. # is used as 'enter' after you type in the valid code. The initial code (master code) is 1234 after power-on. You could activate the output with typing in:
1234 #
* Is used to change the code. Type in the actual code then press *, then type in the new
code. E.g.:
NOTE In case you have forgotten the change password, you cannot operate
the unit unless you install a new pre programmed micro controller

2] LM7805 (3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE REGULATER) 3 terminal Positive Voltage regulators. This is used to make the stable voltage of +5V for U2 (MCU). The LM7805 is three terminal positive regulators are available in the TO-220/D-PAK package and with several fixed output voltages, making them useful in a wide range of applications. Each type employs internal current
limiting, thermal shut down and safe operating area protection, making it essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, they can deliver over 1A output current. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, More information please refer Data sheet 0f LM7805 3] Transistor for the relay control (BC547) This is a regular general-purpose NPN type transistor. For control the 12V DC electromechanical relay. 4] Relay It closes the voltage less point of contact while the Door lock works to control the electro magnetic door lock or equipment outside. More information please refers Data sheet 0f 12V relay. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
BEFOR YOU START THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT YOU MUST REED THE INSTRUCTION. IN ORDER TO AVOID MANY SERIOUS PROBLEM.
First check the components supplied in the Kit against the Component listing. Identify all the components. It is generally best to solder the lowest height components first: the IC SOCKETS, resistors, & diodes. The IC socket should be installed first. Begin solders the pin of the socket. The entire resistor should be installed next. In order to find their values you have to check the color code. All the diode should be installed next. Make sure to get the diodes the correct way around. Match up the bar on the diodes with the bar on the overlay. Afterwards solder the capacitors, relay, transistors, & other remaining components. Especially care should be taken in order to find the polarity of the electrolytic capacitors. The 3 X 4 keyboard is connecting the help of ribbon wire. The PCB was designed such that the micro controller PCB & keyboard PCB may be separated. Interconnection of two PCBs is achieved with a short length of ribbon wire
