The goal is to complete as man] lucrative transportation contracts
as possiole to earn mone]. Because at the end of the game
the pla]er with the most cash wins.
Place the goods cuoes on the loading
space of the game ooard. Put the
traffic jam and construction signs
into their plastic oases and place
them next to the game ooard.

them face-down on the appropriate

to a pla]er to manage as the oanker.

8huffle the contract cards and deal 3 cootracts to each
pla]er, which the] should keep concealed from the other
pla]ers. how, depending on the numoer of pla]ers, a different
numoer of cards are placed in a face-down pile next to the
game ooard to form a draw pile.
Place the remaining cards oack in the oox. Take the top 4
contract cards from the draw pile and place them face-up onto
the four contract card spaces on the game ooard
Each pla]er chooses a truck and places it on an] space of the
game ooard. ln selecting locations, pla]ers should look at their
contract cards. You can place ]our truck in a cit] that is the
starting point for one of ]our contracts.
Trucks, Freight and Mcney dcminate the transpcrt
trade between FIensburg and vercna. The ccmpetiticn
amcng carriers requires scphisticated rcute pIanning,
tense price struggIes, and optimal utilization of truck
cargo space. Different events happen that can make
life easier or harder for the drivers. Wise planning
and like so often in life a bit of luck may give you
the edge you hope for.

The starting pla]er is the person to have driven the longest
route this month. 0n his turn, a pla]er rolls ooth dice and then
moves his truck in an] direction according to the numoer of
pips shown on ooe of the dice. A pla]er must move the full
value of the chosen die unless he reaches the traffic jam or
construction signs, or the starting or ending cit] on one of his
contract cards, in which case he ma] stop and forfeit the rest
of his movement. lt is permitted to drive through spaces with
trucks. ho more than 2 trucks can occup] a highwa] space at
the end of a turn. Cit] spaces have no limit. The two ferries
can oe used like normal road spaces (Rotterdam-Flensourg is 8
spaces, Flensourg-Rostock is 2. There are no extra costs.
lf ]ou roll a G ]ou ma] choose an] value for the die from 1 to G.
This makes it easier to land on a cit] o] exact count in order to
acquire puolic contracts.
veot Spaces are
marked with a red &
white triangle. when
a pla]er lands on an
event space o] exact
count he must draw
the top card of the
event card deck and
follow the instructions
on the card. After
completing the
required action, the
event card is removed
from the game.

lf a pla]er can not pa]
the cost of an event
card he must place the card face-up oeside him until he can pa]
douole the amount due.
hote. The event cards are mostl] positive.
0oostr0ct|oo S|go: when a pla]er
rolls and chooses a 1 (or a G as a 1
he first moves his truck one space
and then must place the construc-
tion sign on the ooard or move it if
it is alread] in pla]. The sign must
oe placed on an 0oocc0p|ed high-
wa] space. lt ma] not oe placed on a cit] space. The sign
disaoles that section of highwa] - trucks ma] not move through
it.
The TraII|c Jam S|go comes into
pla] through some event cards and
is valid for onl] one round. lt closes
one area to traffic, forcing trucks to
wait or make a detour.

0antracts:
Each contract card shows a starting cit] and destination. To
initiate a contract, a pla]er must end his movement at the start
cit] shown on the card. An] excess movement that was rolled
can oe ignored when initiating a contract. The pla]er then
places the contract card face-up in front of him on the taole
and loads into his truck the numoer of goods cuoes shown on
the card. This ends the pla]er's turn. 0n his next turn the
pla]er is not required to drive directl] to the destination cit],
out instead ma] choose to initiate additional contracts in order
to maximize the use of his cargo space.
lf a pla]er receives a contract card while his truck is in the start
cit] for that card, he ma] immediatel] initiate that contract pro-
vided he has sufficient space to accomodate the entire load.
when a pla]er arrives at the destination for one of his initiated
contracts (extra rolled movement is ignored, he unloads the
goods for the contract and places them oack into the stock pile
on the ooard. The pla]er then receives the contract's pa]ment
from the oank and removes the completed card from the game.
0nce a pla]er has finished his turn, the next pla]er clockwise
takes their turn.
|mportaot: each truck can hold a maximum of G goods. A
contract must alwa]s oe full] executed. lt is not possiole to
load onl] part of a contract. lf a pla]er has insufficient capacit]
for a contract he ma] ou] a trailer.
Trai|er: To transport more than G goods a pla]er ma], during
his turn, purchase as man] trailers as he desires to increase
his loading capacit] o] 4 and G goods respectivel]. Purchased
trailer cards are placed on the taole in front of the pla]er and
can oe loaded with additional goods whenever needed. A pla]er
keeps purchased trailer cards for the rest of the game. During his
turn a pla]er can sell an] of his trailer cards for 5OO f each,
regardless of the size of the trailer. A pla]er who still has trailer
cards at the end of the game receives no mone] for them. The]
are worthless. Availaole are.

whenever a pla]er arrives at a cit] o] exact count (does not
forfeit an] movement points and he is not interested in an] of
the puolic contracts, the contract closest to the loading dock
is removed from the game. Then slide the remaining contracts
in the direction of the arrows and draw a new contract card to
place in the freed-up puolic contract oox in the corner. This
release of puolic contracts is specificall] designed to end the
game and is a good wa] to speed up the game.

The game ends immediatel] if there are no more puolic
contracts on the ooard and a pla]er has completed all of their
contracts. lt does not matter in what order these two events
occur. The pla]er with the most mone] wins the game.
Unfinished contracts are worthless.

4 pla]ers (RED, YEll0w, BlUE & 0REEh are pla]ing. RED
chooses the Berlin-Trieste contract. YEll0w passes.
BlUE skips oid 1 and immediatel] oids 2. 0REEh is also

He has selected the contract and does not need to increase
the oid. BlUE now passes. 0REEh now increases the oid to
4. RED now passes. 0REEh wins the contract and immedi-
ately pa]s 28OO f to the oank. Upon deliver] he will receive
89OO f in freight revenue. His profit is therefore 11OO f.

1. During preparation each pla]er receives 5 contract
cards in their hand.
2. The stack for puolic procurement contains onl] 1O
cards, of which 4 cards are placed face-up on the
appropriate spaces on the ooard.
8. The trailer cards are not used. Each truck has a
capacit] of onl] G goods.
4. whenever the starting cit] of a puolic contract is
reached, that contract ma] oe taken. The contracts
are not sold at auction! lf the pla]er can immediatel]
load the necessar] goods into their truck, the contract
is placed face-up in front of them. lf the goods cannot
oe loaded, the contract card is taken into their hand.
The contract can then oe loaded later o] revisiting the
starting cit] (with sufficient empt] cargo space.
After that, a new contract card is laid out. The arrows in
this version have no meaning. The oid taole on the
contract cards is irrelevant.
Pub|ic Pracurement:
when a pla]er arrives at aoy cit] o] exact count, he may select
one of the 4 face-up "puolic" contract cards on the ooard and
express interest in acquiring it. lf the pla]er had to forego
excess movement points in order to stop on the cit], or arrived
there o] an event card, he ma] not select one of the puolic
contract cards.

lf a pla]er selects a puolic contract, other pla]ers who are also
interested in that contract (or want to drive up the price for it
ma] oid for it.
All pla]ers ma] in turn - as in an auction - make a oid. The
pla]er to the left of the person who selected the contract starts
the oidding, followed o] the other pla]ers in turn (clockwise
who must increase the oid or pass. The pla]er who selected the
contract has an advantage. He does not have to oid higher than
his competitors in order to ootain the contract. His oid onl] has
to equal the previous oid. The pla]ers who did not pass can
continue another round of oidding and either increase the oid
or pass.
All oids are made in accordance with the oids ("Angeoot"
numoered 1- 5 that are printed on the contract card. The taole
shows the cost and net proceeds for each oid.
The pla]er who wins the auction must immediatel] pa] the
purchase price from the cost taole to the oank. Credit is not
granted. lf no other pla]er places a oid, the pla]er who selected
the contract ootains it for no cost.
The pla]er then takes the contract into his hand and ma]
initiate it whenever he reaches the starting cit], or ma] initiate
it immediatel] if he is alread] in the starting cit] and has
enough free cargo space availaole.
whenever there is a gap in the puolic contracts, slide the
remaining contracts in the direction of the arrows and fill the
gap. Draw a new contract card from the deck and place it in
the open puolic contract space in the corner of the ooard.
