For the times we have let lust be called love; For the times when we have let self-centeredness be identified as love; For the times when we substituted love words for love behavior; For the times when we have let what God can do for us take the place of what we can do to glorify God. Change our attitudes so that we no longer define God by what we understand love is, but to let Bible teachings about God define love. Teach us anew that God is love. And grant that in this service of worship we may become more mature in love. Amen. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. *The Blessing and Benediction *Extinguishing the Candles (Taking the Light of Christ into the World) Acolytes *Parting Song *Postlude Enter to Worship Leave to Serve The Bond of Love #281 Love Divine, All Loves Excelling #92
