Job Title: Reports to: Last Updated: Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Chief Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation March 2011
Position Summary
The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will be part of an international project team. He / she must properly interpret and apply Client & Linde technical requirements and relevant industry specifications, codes and/or project-specific standards and specifications. Effective communication with other team members is essential. The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will work on proposals and on projects. He / she must be willing to travel as required, and will also be responsible for maintaining project schedules and budgets (for both man hours and materials cost) as they relate to Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) items.
Required Skills
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD applications. Ability & willingness to accept domestic and international travel / work assignments. Bachelors degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics, or the equivalent in working experience. Minimum of five years experience in an OEM or EPC company providing combustion equipment, or in an operating company with Instrumentation & Controls engineering duties. Field service experience (performing installations, startups, and/or troubleshooting existing installation) is preferred, but not essential.
