brings

content

reporting
environment
allowing
every
organization
to
take
advantage
of
powerful
data
driven
reports
improving
business
intelligence
and
overall
operational
strategies.
The
MA
CMMS
has
built
in
the
necessary
tools
to
allow
any
organization
to
download
(through
the
MA
Add-on
Manager),
custom
build,
and
run
Jasper
Reports
templates
quickly
and
easily.
iReports
is
a
powerful
open
source
reporting
tool
that
has
the
ability
to
deliver
rich
content
onto
the
screen,
to
the
printer,
or
into
PDF,
HTML,
XLS,
RTF,
ODT,
CSV,
TXT
and
XML
files.
1. Download
and
install
iReport,
a
free
application
provided
as
the
Jasper
Reports
template
builder,
from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ireport/
2. Download
the
derby.jar
file
as
provided
by
Maintenance
Assistant.
3. Download
your
cloud
database
to
a
local
directory
using
the
following
procedure

Configure
With
the
iReport
application
installed,
double
click
on
the
iReport
icon
from
your
desktop
to
start
it.
When
running
iReport
for
the
first
time,
you
will
want
to
set
it
up
to
access
your
MA
CMMS
downloaded
database.

icon
in
your
programs
or
applications
folder:
3. You now need to add Derby libraries to your iReport ClassPath. MAC:- Select iReport - > Preferences - > iReport- > Classpath PC:- Select Tools -> Options, and click on iReport button at the top of the dialog box. Select the Classpath Tab.
4. Select Add Jar to add your database libraries. The two files you are looking for are derby.jar and derbyclient.jar. Locate these files on your PC or MAC.
6. Once you have added your two jar files, select OK to save. 7. You now need to add a new datasource. Click the icon opposite the Empty datasource dropdown:

9. Name your Connection "My Local Database" or something like that. 10. Enter "org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver" as the JDBC Driver, 11. Enter your MA CMMS database file location information as below. This is the database you downloaded from your cloud instance.
In this case, the downloaded database is stored in my backupfolder/ma folder. Login: ma Password: ma 10. Click test to test the connection. if the connection fails, then you a) do not have your MA CMMS running at this location, b) your MA CMMS database is running on a different port.). 11. Click Save. 12.
