Wavion Base Stations WBS-2400

Wavion WBS-2400 is a product family of advanced wireless broadband base stations, operating in the 2.4 GHz unlicensed band featuring two types of base stations: WBS-2400 Omni employs Wavions Beamforming technology with six antennas and six radios providing 360 omni directional coverage. WBS-2400 Sector employs Wavion Beamforming technology with an array of three antennas and three radios providing directional sector coverage of 120. Leveraging Wavions Beamforming technology, the WBS-2400 base stations provide superior connectivity, extended range and increased capacity. Furthermore, Wavions advanced SDMA technology increases the base stations downlink capacity. These unmatched characteristics enable service providers, municipalities, and enterprises to deliver high quality Wi-Fi service with significantly fewer base stations at a much lower cost. The WBS-2400 operates with any Wi-Fi standard, off-the-shelf 802.11b/g/n CPEs. This allows you to select the right CPE for your needs and reduces your overall project costs.

Wavion Indoor CPE

Wavion Indoor CPE (WCPE-24HP-USB) is a high-end Wi-Fi USB CPE. It is compact and can be easily self-installed. It does not require an external power source and is fully plug-and-play with Microsoft operating systems.

Wavion Coverage Tool

The Wavion Coverage Tool (WCT) allows you to measure the actual coverage and throughput in specific deployment settings. The WCT package, which is included in the Advanced Starter Kit, runs on a laptop in a car. You should drive in the area around the installed Wavion base station and measure coverage parameters like: where there is coverage what is the throughput in each spot The results are presented graphically over Google earth maps as shown in the figure on the right. The WCT results are highly useful for your sales and marketing department. With this information they can focus efforts on covered areas or even specifically on regions with high capacity. This will allow you to maximize your network resources.
