Every effort has been made to produce a reliable and error-free handheld PDT. At this time, there are several known errors and or problems currently being evaluated for future release. Transfer speed at 38.4K supported only with RTS/CTS protocol activated on XFER32.

Fixed the Alpha comparison issue when the ignore case option is selected. Improved the reading barcode with specific package or with high density poor printed labels Input Node: the clear display count has been corrected While in Reading Test mode, the D1 parameters are automatically set RTS is set TRUE in ACK/NAK or XMODEM protocol before sending ACK or NAK to the transmitter Modified the Contrast parameter default setting to work with old or new LCD

Added the Pharmacode decoding capability. Added the capability of entering special characters into a running application Added the capability to read the bar codes starting by $+ (conflict with setup configuration) Displays with Chinese font have been improved Added scanning Bar Codes without Running an Application (for test or demo purpose) Improved the numeric comparisons (e.g.: 1.23 versus 1.2300)

Available with 5.50 version:

User can check the Battery Level & Ram space available by pressing SH+ Right Arrow key. Auto-off activated when the PT40 is in the Dock. This option can be disabled. Barcode decoding verification (Option allows the number of decodes of barcode data before acceptance (can be used to improve reliability when decoding poorly printed bar codes). Virtual screen Visualization with Arrow Keys can be disabled. Input Node Data Entry functionality added. Returns the data immediately to the application with out requiring the Enter key to be pressed. New Protocol: ACK/NACK Protocol with out CR & Checksum. Press Code decoding capability added (UPC Codes starting with 378 or 379 and containing extensions) PT40 can be programmed (OS and Applications) remotely with new PPGXfer version (5.46 Remote)
