I would like to study agriculture because I was brought up in a family in the countryside, who have worked on the land

for many generations, which has determined me to specialize in this field. I was raised for a period of time by my grandparents and then my mother took me to live with her in the city, more precisely in Constanta, Romania. However, I have always thought about the countryside and the days when my grandparents took me everywhere so as not to leave me alone at home. Since then, I have been visiting them every summer, helping them around with the land work or housework. I graduated Tomis Technical College, with the qualification of Mechanical Processing Technician, but previously I also graduated a vocational school with the qualification of Thermal Engine Mechanic. During my secondary school studies I was also employed at the Shipyard of Constanta as aggregate mounting locksmith. So, I went to work daily until 17:00 and then to secondary school evening classes until 21:30. This happened for three years and I had the chance to gain practical experience at the shipyard. Unfortunately hard times followed this and the financial crisis in Romania made me become one of the redundant employees and I lost my job. I would like to specialize in agriculture, but also in the technical field, regarding machines, equipments, tractors and land exploitation, since this is the field appropriate for me. This is why I would like to study and I chose to study in a university in the UK to have a chance to improve my knowledge, to become a reliable professional. I have been studying English since the 5th grade, I speak it fluently, I read and understand and for the writing part I chat and mail on the internet with several friends from England. I want to study in Great Britain because there are more available working places, more opportunities and this is a country I like and identify with. There is advanced technology in the UK, there is a different mentality, good infrastructure and economics at a high standard. As far as my hobbies are concerned, I like classic, traditional martial arts, I also practiced kickboxing at a professional level, sports are part of my passions, but also nature. I like to spend time in the nature, as this offers me silence, peace, interior and exterior relaxation, psychically and spiritually. After I finish the graduate studies I would like to use my knowledge and experience in agriculture, with the vehicles and machines used for the land work, at a renowned company on the Great Britain market.
