ActiveWater is one of these technologies. It is a new and unique dishwashing system that gets maximum use out of each drop of water. Faster heating-up, targeted water circulation and improved pump performance means that the new ActiveWater dishwashers use less water, less energy yet achieve better performance. Less water The innovative, world-first unique ActiveWater technology maximises everydrop of water. The slim spray arms emit a fine shower of water, ensuring that the dishes are optimally sprayed from all sides. The system generates the power of more than 4,100 litres of water from a mere 10 litres. Dishwashing has never been so efficient.

Less energy Bosch has led the way in the development of sustainable products for many years now. The ActiveWater dishwasher is the latest addition to the fold. It uses 7 litres of water and just 0.73 kWh of electricity per normal programme cycle. Now every household not only saves money but also actively protects the climate too. More performance Optimum dishwashing results, less electricity and water consumption now its possible. An innovation for detergent tab users. An increasing number of households use detergent tabs in their dishwashers. The DosageAssist in the new ActiveWater dishwashers optimises the effect of these tabs. The detergent dispenser is conveniently located in the centre on the top of the door where it is protected against drips from food residues. During the rinse cycle, the tab drops into a special tray where its dissolving is controlled to assure outstanding results. This prevents tabs dropping in between plates or cutlery, or not dissolving completely, resulting in a less-thanperfect cleaning performance. Enjoy the silent benefits of progress. The kitchen is a central part of the home and a place SuperSilence where people traditionally gather. With this in mind, Bosch has designed a range of dishwashers with exceptionally quiet operation. In conventional dishwashers, the spray arms jet the water noisily onto the interior door to release the detergent tablet from the dispenser. In the new ActiveWater dishwashers, the tablet drops into the collecting tray in the top basket where spraying and dissolving take place, with practically no sound at all.

Variation on three levels. With the 3-way Rackmatic system in the ActiveWater dishwashers, the VarioFlexPlus top basket can now be adjusted to three levels by a total of 5cm at the turn of a hand, even when loaded. You can thus effortlessly accommodate long-stemmed glasses, large pizza plates or pots wherever you like. Infinitely spacious. With the new VarioFlexPlus top basket, ActiveWater built-in dishwashers supply the corresponding extra space and maximum flexibility for dishes, glasses and kitchen utensils. Two-part foldaway glass holders, plate racks and shelves are all features of the flexible basket design that adapts optimally to all types of load. The rounded ball ends on the plate racks provide dishes with a particularly gentle hold, while their minimum contact surfaces assure even better cleaning results. A new interior dimension with the VarioDrawer. The new ActiveWater dishwasher generation impresses with its ultra low water and energy consumption rates and optimum use of space. A highlight of this unique interior is a new third loading level the extendable VarioDrawer.

Roll out some extra space for your cutlery. The VarioDrawer replaces the cutlery basket, thus creating more space in the bottom basket. This innovation creates room for 14 place settings in premium class models! The extra drawer is ideal for Vario cutlery, and kitchen utensils such as ladles or whisks. There is even room for espresso cups all securely held. The largest Bosch dishwasher interior ever! ActiveWater dishwashers have a larger interior. Better energy & water efficiency _ Zeolite Drying optimal drying using less energy The energy-saver mineral: Besides saving water, ActiveWater dishwashers also reduce energy consumption in comparison to current models by a further 20%*! They reduce environment impact and electricity bills in the face of rising energy prices. The secret of this energy saving has a name: Zeolite Drying. The natural silicate mineral, zeolite is regenerated for each new rinse cycle, lasts a life time and never needs replacing. Half load For smaller loads, selected Bosch dishwashers offer the convenience of a standard wash as well, with less water and energy. You can now save more water and energy at the touch of a button. Improved hygiene Hygiene The hygiene option removes 99.9% of all bacteria and germs through the increased rinsing time. No matter which washing programme you select, an additional heating period is started during the cleaning phase. This makes the hygiene option particularly suitable for cleaning containers and utensils which require special treatment, such as baby bottles or cutting boards. RackMatic This system makes it a simple matter to adjust the height of the upper basket, even when it is fully loaded. So a large variety of plates, glasses or even pots can easily be accommodated. VarioFlex Plus-Baskets This system offers greatest flexibility. With foldable racks, the system can be adapted to any load, and all items are assured a firm, secure place in the protective racks. IntensiveZone-Power treatment for pots and pans The IntensiveZone in the bottom basket meant specially for pots and pans, comes with power spray pressure and a higher cleaning temperature. AquaSensor The AquaSensor constantly checks the progress of the wash and adjusts the duration and temperature to suit the level of soiling. This is done through activation of the Auto Programmes. Simply select the programme of your choice and the AquaSensor will decide exactly the right temperature to use, how long to wash for and how much water should be used in the cycle! Enhanced safety AquaStop P a te n te d by B o s ch i n 1 9 8 5 and copied throughout the world, the AquaStop safety system prevents any type of water damage whether at the inlet hose or because of a leak in the machine. This system provides 24 hours protection each day. Improved operation Whisper quiet operation Bosch dishwashers have been designed to be whisper quiet. Multiple levels of soundproofing materials on the roof, sides and door of the dishwasher combined with a vibration-proof base plate and specially mounted motor pump, all help in reducing any noise while the load is being washed. The pumps and a closed water cycle produce less noise as the water is distributed equally through the spray arms. EmotionLight An additional visual highlight on opening the door, the interior is bathed in a deep blue light: EmotionLight. This beautiful play of light is produced (in selected models) by blue LEDs that will last throughout the entire dishwasher life cycle.

Cleaning process In the next wash cycle, the air from the dishwasher interior is heated and flows through the zeolite container. This releases the water stored in the zeolite pearls and this moisture together with the heated air is now returned to the interior where it helps heat up the water in the process. Drying process Damp air is channelled out of the interior and through the zeolite container. The moisture is immediately absorbed by the zeolite pearls and the energy stored in the zeolite released in the form of heat. The hot, very dry air is channelled back into the interior and dries the dishes. VarioSpeed functionality on all models with display Research shows that consumers are often looking for a time saving feature to help reduce the length of programme. With a Bosch dishwasher, you can have the option of having your dishes cleaned in the normal time using the standard programme or choose to reduce the length of the programme with VarioSpeed. VarioSpeed reduces programme time by approximately up to 50% without sacrificing on washing and drying performance.

ActiveWater dishwashers save you the chore of scrubbing heavily soiled pots and pans. With the optional IntensiveZone function, the entire bottom basket is transformed into a powerful cleaning zone with increased spray pressure and a higher cleaning temperature, while in the top basket, delicate glasses and dishes are rinsed gently and protectively. Zeolite drying All dishwashers with this technology impress with optimum drying results and, at the same time, use minimum energy during the drying process. So, besides water consumption, the ActiveWater dishwashers with Zeolite drying also considerably reduce electricity consumption - in comparison to current models by up to 20%! The secret of this energy saving is the natural mineral, Zeolite. It is regenerated for each new rinse cycle, lasts the appliance's entire life time and never needs to be replaced.
