Sad Phenomenon in the Church:

The church is hurt! (He that has ears let him hear what the Spirit says to the church!) AND NOT A LOT HAS BEEN DONE TO MEND THAT HURT IN THE CHURCH! God is sending the healing balm on that hurt in this service! The hurt in the church is DISILLUSIONMENT! (Let down) Disillusionment that comes from a failure to understand the dynamics of the promises of God! We have been taught well to be open to and receive the promises of God but we have failed to survive the promise!

The hurt of a lot of Christians occur IN-BETWEEN RECEIVING THE PROMISE OF GOD AND ITS FULFILLMENT! Abraham and Sarah messed up in-between the promise of Isaac and their actual conception of Isaac. (Ishmael) they made a deal / a plan to help the fulfilment of the promise because they did not understand the dynamics of Gods promises (how it works). The people who received the promise of a land flowing with milk and honey all died in the wilderness because they were frustrated with the journey in-between the receiving of the promise and their arrival in the fulfilment of the promise! A lot of good Christians lose faith and are hurt because they feel stuck in-between the promises of God and the fulfilment of those promises in their lives! Many of us have learned the hard way that EASYBELIEVISM doesnt work! (God said it, I believe it, that settles it!) Weve learned that its not that simple! A lot of us are frustrated, hurt, disappointed, disillusioned, let down, scared BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE GOD HAS DESERTED YOU BECAUSE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE PROMISES OF GOD! You expected one thing and got something else you prayed for one thing and got something else you expected blessing and abundance and all you have is frustration, debt, trouble, stress, headaches and problems!

viii) Lets discuss the dynamics of Gods promises! There is a concept/phenomenon in Scripture called the MOUNTAIN PEAKS OF PROPHEY God told Abraham about Isaac but didnt tell them they would have to overcome reason and wait until the promise is fulfilled God told Israel about the Promised Land but failed to inform them of the wilderness, bitter water, no water, no meat, no garlic and cucumber, giants, walled cities God told His people about the Messiah that was to come but didnt tell them about the Roman occupation, the 400 years of silence before the Christ would come! You must understand that GOD GIVES YOU THE PROMISE AND THE PROPHECY ON A MOUNTAIN PEAK BUT, TO RECEIVE THE FULFILLMENT OF THAT PROMISE, YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE VALLEY IN-BETWEEN THAT MOUNTAIN PEAK AND THE NEXT PEAK WHICH IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE! God is giving us this message today so that the devil doesnt knock our teeth out as we run after the promise this year and never seem to get it! From the time David was anointed King in 1 Samuel 16 until he was crowned king of all Israel in 2 Samuel 5 is about 12-15 years!

Some of you are in the valley of shadows (there is the threat or the promise of things but the thing never comes!) You walk in the shadow of promises but not in fulfilment Its a valley!

Like Peter, in Matthew 14:29-31, you are sinking God, Im in such a bad place and the only reason im still here is cos YOU are holding me Im not even holding on anymore im too weak to hold on ive given up. Its too much for me.
