gets a big turnout, with fifteen to nineteen healers and headers weekly. They also host the NIRA roping series with divisions eight and eleven, which are held for three Saturdays in a row in the spring. In addition, they also host a rough stock clinic and rough stock jackpot in March. This year for the rough stock clinic, the instructors they had for the clinic were Kelly Wardell for bareback, Jake Griffen for saddle bronc, and Fred Boetcher for bull riding. The clinic was held on Saturday March 10, 2012. All the fundraisers are held at the LTC. The team members themselves put on the fundraisers with the help of their coach, Clark. The NCTA rodeo team currently has twenty seven members registered for the 2011-2012 class. They include Cheyenne Burette, Dayna Cayer, Leesha Frasch, Trevor Fricke, Coy Goggins, Bronc Herbert, Trevor Junge, Robert Keller,

The rodeo team is the right place for students who are interested in rodeo or who just want to learn more about the events. They can learn a lot from the coach and other students who have been doing it for a long time. The class is only one credit hour and it works around most class schedules because students can come and go when they need to. The coach knows that class comes first. You can also take it from somebody that is on the team herself, I enjoy it a lot and look forward to Tuesday and Thursday every week.

When people think of a college class, they dont usually think of traveling to states like South Dakota, Wisconsin or Iowa. Nor do they think of roping steers or stepping into a chute and riding a bull or a bronc. Creating, Organizing and Syncing Bookmarks

Other Ways To Manage and Organize your Bookmarks Xmarks, a simple browser extension that works on Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari, is an awesome bookmark tool which safely and quickly backs up all your bookmarks to the cloud and syncs them to other browsers and computers that you use. It also works on smartphones. It has literally saved my grade once. I was doing a project on computer security for a class when my laptop completely failed. All my bookmarks and resources for that project were saved on that computer. Thankfully, I had all of them backed up to the cloud with Xmarks. This meant I could continue my work on any computer and get all of my bookmarks right on the Xmarks website. Talk about a life (and a grade) saver! Bookmarks in Diigo are just like what youre used to using in your browser, but instead of being saved on your hard drive, they are saved in the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere. When you bookmark a page to Diigo, you can organize by tags and lists which makes them easy to find. There are special features on the Diigo bookmark bar like marking to read later, adding to a list, sharing to a group Above: Right click on bookmarks bar or taking a snapshot of the and select New Folder page so youll never have Left: Choose name for folder. found no longer being there. The page is saved as HTML as well as an image. Bookmarks in Evernote are still notes. With the Web Clipper there is an option to save only the link. You can still add a title and any tags that you want the link to be associated with. This is helpful if you dont have time to read through the page right away, if the page isnt formatted correctly to be clipped as an article into Evernote or you dont want the entire page saved and would rather come back to it later. Conclusion Bookmarks are a great way to save and organize information if all you need to save is the link. But they can be easily cluttered without monitoring. This can kill your efficiency on a research project if you spend time looking for things you just know you saved one time! Hopefully this part of The Art of Researching article series was helpful and will impact your researching habits next time you are assigned a project. For more information on saving and organizing content in forms other than bookmarks, refer to the Collecting, Organizing and Annotating article in Volume 4, Issue 8. In the next issue, browsing for reputable web sources and tools that can allow you to build your research paper anywhere will be covered. If you have any questions concerning this article, whether it was something that I missed, wasnt clear enough about or youd like to discuss something more, you can email me at aaron.r.couch+AggieUp@gmail.com or send a message on the Aggie Up Facebook page.

In the previous issue (volume 4, issue 8) of Aggie Up I talked about collecting, organizing and annotating your research. This is part two covering a different area bookmarking. Some of what is talked about in this article was introduced in the previous article reading that first will probably help you understand how some of the tools, that are mentioned in this article, work. Ways To Bookmark Within Your Browser Bookmarks have an important role in researching and when we use our own computers; they are likely the most common way we save information that wed like to refer to in the future. Although Evernote can save links and Diigo has the ability to save and organize your bookmarks (which Ill cover later), utilizing bookmarks in your browser is still a very easy, fast way to save and retrieve information. If you want to save the link to check it out later, it can be a convenience. The problem is, these links quickly get cluttered. Some people only click the Favorites button to bookmark their links. This is a nice feature of browsers, but can be counterproductive if its the only way bookmarks are saved. Other people just have a huge collection of sites under Bookmarks in their browser; again, this can be counterproductive if left unorganized. There is also the feature called a bookmarks bar that is in all browsers. Its a nice place to add links to quickly access them. However, this too can get messy. Keeping Your Bookmarks Organized and Uncluttered I encourage you to create folders and organize your bookmarks by folder, similar to how you might organize your files on your computer or flash drive. If you dont have time to completely rectify all your bookmarks (trust me mine arent perfectly organized either), try to start the process with the very next thing you bookmark. To do this, right click on your bookmarks bar and you will see an option to add a new folder. Once youve named your new folder, simply drag the URL from the address bar into the folder. You can then rename the newly-added link to whatever will help you know what the bookmark links to in the future.
