Thanksgiving stories from our journals; they are sure to make you smile. This

story about a family Christmas tradition. The children have some great ideas

FIFTH GRADE
Miss Weitzel, Mrs. Cawley, Mr. Lounsberry…
December is here already, and the holidays will soon be upon us. It is a
very busy time of year in fifth grade with the concert upcoming and Christmas
spirit in the air.
In reading the entire fifth grade class is working on the book “The Best
Christmas Pageant Ever,” the hilarious story of a group of brothers and sisters
with a “reputation” both inside of school and out. By the end of the book, the
children have changed for the better with a new understanding of the meaning
of Christmas. This is a book which all the students seem to enjoy and
appreciate.
Mr. Lounsberry’s social studies classes have almost finished a unit on
explorers. During this unit, the students made “Explorer Books,” and at the end
of the unit, they will design “Explorer Trading Cards.” Next we will briefly review
