(Troubleshooting & Tips) The light on the handpiece did not come on when I lifted it from the cradle. *Make sure the power supply is plugged into the wall. *Make sure that the camera module is pushed all the way into the backpack. *Check that the ON/OFF switch on the rear of the backpack is in the ON position. (Tips): The Evolution M-Series comes with an additional ON/OFF place anywhere cradle. This cradle will perform the same auto functions as the cradle built into your camera module. The cradle can be secured using double sided tape or mounting screws. If the camera is not going to be used for extended periods of time (overnight), it is recommended that the rocker switch on the rear of the backpack is set to the OFF position.

2.. Sheaths: Your Evolution camera will come with a sample pack of sheaths. These sheaths are designed to be used for intra-oral images only. (Using a sheath outside of the mouth will result in a fogged image.) When applying the sheaths, slide the handpiece with the LEDs facing down under the white flap. Push the handpiece in until the end of the sheath is taut, peel away the top blue layer and the bottom paper layer. It is recommended that you use the bottom paper layer or a gloved hand and press the sheath against the lens for about 3 Seconds. The paper or glove are used to keep oils on the hand from touching the optically clear area over the lens.

4. Capturing an Image & Camera Functions: When you press the capture button located on the handpiece an image will be frozen on the screen. A frozen image is indicated by a small (F) in the lower right hand corner. This image is saved to the memory board as image (M01). By pressing the capture button a second time, the image will return to live video. A live image is indicated by a small (L) in the lower right of the screen. Each successive capture will store an additional image to the memory board. Up to12 full page images can be stored , labeled M01-M12. After all desired images are captured, they can be viewed by either hanging up the handpiece in the cradle, or pressing the View button on the remote. Once either one of these operations is completed, the camera will enter the View mode, indicated by a small (M01) in the bottom right of the screen (this indicates memory page 1). By pressing the Prev (previous) or next buttons on the remote you will be able to scroll through the images labled M01 to M12. The memory board logic has been designed so that images will capture and store in chronological order even after the view mode is accessed. This means that if you captured (4) images and then accessed the view mode by either hanging up the handpiece or pressing the VIEW button on the remote, when you lift the hanpiece the next image you capture will be image (5). If you are using a computer you can enter the view mode and scroll through the images until reaching an image that you wish to save to the software. Press the SAVE button on the remote to record the image into the PC Software.. Please note that a compatible software and corresponding capture cable must be used.
