# Project 1:

Title : Infra-Red Remote Controller for Home Appliances

Controller : 89S51 micro controller.
Team size :4
Description : The main aim of the project is to control the light /fans from a electrical
distribution board using the TV remote control which uses an IR protocol called RC5. A IR
receiver TSOP 1738 is used to receive the IR signal from the remote control unit which is
decoded by microcontroller 89S51. On decoding the signals 4 relays are operated depending on
which key of the RC Remote is pressed.
