Il testo inizia con una visione che il generale Scozzese Macbeth ha dopo una battaglia, nella visione egli vede tre streghe che predicono a lui due avvenimenti: diventer Signore di Candar e poi regner. La prima profezia si avvera quando Duncan, re di Scozia, dopo aver fatto giustiziare il Signore di Candar, dona a Macbeth il suo titolo. La seconda profezia si avvera quando, dopo aver assassinato il re Duncan e dopo aver fatto fuggire i suoi figli, verr incoronato re di Scozia. Ma Macbeth dopo essere stato incoronato re, incomincia ad avere paura di essere scoperto e cos ordina di uccidere Banquo da dei sicari. Dopo questo omicidio Macbeth inizia ad avere visioni degli spettri delle persone che ha ucciso. Macbeth va ancora dalle streghe che gli dicono di guardarsi dal Signore di Fife, che potr essere ucciso solo da un uomo non nato da donna e che non sar mai sconfitto finch la Selva di Birnam non avanzer verso Dunsinane. Nel frattempo la moglie inizia ad avere delle crisi mentre dorme, durante le quali continua a lavarsi le mani dal sangue di Duncan e parlando ad alta voce rivela gli omicidi commessi. Macbeth intimorito dalle profezie : uccide la moglie ed i figli di Macduff, signore di Fife. L' altra profezia si avvera quando i soldati guidati da Macduff avanzano coperti da rami di albero , facendo capire che la foresta avanzasse. L'ultima profezie si avvera quando Macbeth viene ucciso da Macduff , nato con parto cesareo e pertanto per l'epoca considerato non nato da donna. Prima della battaglia Lady Macbeth si suicid e i nobili scozzesi ed i loro eserciti si arresero senza combattere a macduff

Questo romanzo narra le vicende di due famiglie in contrasto tra di loro: i Montecchi e i Capuleti e la storia d amore tra due ragazzi di queste famiglie: Romeo e Giulietta. Romeo sente una dichiarazione d amore di Giulietta verso di lui e allora le propone un matrimonio segreto. Il giorno del matrimonio, Romeo si trova coinvolto in una rissa e, furibondo per l uccisine di un suo amico, uccide a sua volta Tebaldo, cugino di Giulietta. Scoperto, costretto a fuggire a Mantova. Intanto Giulietta costretta a sposare un gentiluomo, ma beve un narcotico che la fa sembrare morta per 40 ore. Frate Lorenzo da ordine di portare a Romeo la notizia per fuggire insieme a Giulietta, ma il messaggero non arriva da Romeo, il quale crede che la sua amata sia veramente morta. Romeo, colpito dal dolore, si reca al sepolcro di lei e beve un potente veleno che lo fa morire accanto alla sua sposa segreta. Finito l incantesimo, Giulietta si sveglia e, compreso l accaduto, si trafigge con un pugnale.

This story is set in Scotland in the eleventh century. The text begins with a vision that the Scottish general, Macbeth, after a battle, in the vision he sees three witches who prophesy to him two events: will become Candars lord and then will reign. The first prophecy comes true when Duncan, King of Scots, executed after the Lord of Candar, gives his title to Macbeth. The second prophecy comes true when, after murdering King Duncan and flee after his children, will be crowned King of Scotland. But after Macbeth was crowned king, he began to be afraid of being discovered and so ordered to assassins to kill Banquo. After the murder Macbeth begins to have visions of ghosts of people killed. Macbeth still goes to the witches who tell him to beware of Lord Fife, who can be killed only by a man not born of woman, and that will never be defeated until Birnam Forest of the advance to Dunsinane. Meanwhile the wife starts having a seizure while sleeping, during which continues to wash their hands by the Duncans blood and talking loudly reveals murders committed. Intimidated by the prophecies Macbeth kills his wife and children of Macduff, Lord of Fife. The other prophecy comes true when the soldiers led by Macduff advance covered by trees branches, implying that the advancing forest. The latest prophecy comes true when Macbeth is killed by Macduff, born by caesarean section at the time and therefore considered not born of woman. Before the battle, Lady Macbeth committed suicide and the Scottish nobles and their armies surrendered without a fight Macduff.

This novel tells the story of two families in conflict: the Montagues and the Capulets and the story of 'love between two boys of these families, Romeo and Juliet. Romeo hears 'Juliet's declaration of love and then proposed a secret marriage. The day of the wedding, Romeo is in the middle of a fightin and, furious about the killing of his friend kills Tebaldo, Juliet's cousin. Discovered, he is forced to hide in Mantova.
