Getting your Business oFF to a Great Start

Everyone who joins our sales organization starts the same way: all Chocolatiers submit an Agreement, purchase a Starter Kit, review the training guides, watch the DVD, and begin conducting Tasting Parties with their network of friends, family and acquaintances. We are a party plan company and the Tasting Party is the primary way of offering products to consumers. Youll want to schedule four to six Tasting Parties during your first 30 days to achieve QuICK START rewards. Successful Chocolatiers say that consistency is at the heart of their business, and they conduct parties every week. You earn a commission of 25% of the suggested retail price (excluding tax and shipping) of products sold to consumers. Youll submit the order to the company online with the full amount of the party sales plus tax and shipping within a few days of conducting the party. That way you are providing good service to everyone who attended the party by insuring they receive their orders in a timely manner. Selling products to consumers is the heart of your business. Happy, satisfied consumers who enjoy going to Tasting Parties and who use our products are the foundation of a successful business. No matter how high up the success ladder you climb and no matter how large your organization becomes, everyone must lead by example in the area of personal sales. When products are sold, you make money, team members make money and everyone is inspired to continue growing their businesses. Your commissions are direct deposited into your designated bank account twice a month, on or before the 7th and the 22nd of each month. In addition to earning 25% commission on your personal sales to consumers, all ranks within the career plan can qualify to earn a monthly Personal Sales Volume Bonus. Potential earnings on the sale of products to consumers at suggested retail prices can expand to 40%.

The key to building a direct selling business is sales, but the key to generating long-term income is building your organization through recruiting. No matter how successful you are at selling, you can only be in one place at a time. When you love your product and your company, youll want to share the business opportunity with others. Recruiting enables you to duplicate yourself, while at the same time helping others to build businesses of their own. You build a team when you personally introduce new Chocolatiers to DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES you are recruiting and youre on your way to becoming a leader. Youll help your team members begin their own independent businesses, share with them what you know, and teach them what you do. When you recruit and mentor others, you are eligible to earn overrides. Overrides are based on the personal sales volumes of your recruits sales of products to consumers and are calculated on wholesale volume (75% of the suggested retail price). Every time you personally sponsor a new Chocolatier you start a leg. PROMOTE UP THE CAREER PLAN, HELP OTHERS PROMOTE AND EARN MORE
Successful leaders learn that income growth comes from developing more leaders. When your first new downline Manager qualifies, your business adds a Generation. A generation is the relationship between one Manager (or higher rank) and another Manager (or higher rank). The earning potential in Generation Overrides extends to four generations of Managers (or higher rank) and their groups. Youll learn more about this in following pages. Additionally, youll also earn the same level bonus youve always earned as long as your generations are in your first three levels. And, when you have someone in your personal group promote to a Manager for the first time, they receive a one-time $500 Manager Promotion Bonus and you receive a $500 Matching New Manager Promotion Bonus for every Manager you promote (as long as you are a paid as Manager or higher rank). Note: The $500 Matching New Manager Promotion Bonus does not roll up; this bonus is offered to the immediate upline Manager and the new promote. Your downline looks up to you and wants to be led by someone upbeat, optimistic and knowledgeable. If you ever feel personal disappointment or need a dose of positive motivation, communicate your frustration upnever down or sideways. In addition to your upline leader, you are supported by a dedicated home office staff; please call them if you wish to voice complaints or frustrations. This is critically important as your team will take their cues from you.

Questions & answers

1) Are the qualifications the same to promote to a new rank as they are to maintain the rank? Yes you need to meet the monthly qualifications to promote to and maintain a rank. If you missed meeting the monthly qualification level for your rank, you would be paid at the lower title that you qualified for during the month. Your actual performance determines the paid as for May. For example, lets say you promoted to a Sales Director during the month of February and qualified at your rank in March and April, but in May you missed the monthly qualification. You would be paid at the Sales Director level for February, March, and April. If your actual performance was at the Senior Manager level in May, that is the level you would be paid as. However, you do not lose your title for recognition purposes. Even if you missed your monthly qualifications, you maintain your title for recognition purposes for 6 months. If after that time you do not meet the qualifications for that rank, you would eventually revert to the rank of your actual performance. 2) When does the promotion date become effective? Whenever you meet the rank qualification during a month, you will be paid at that level for that month. For example, lets say you achieve the Senior Manager requirements on March 22. When commissions, overrides, and bonuses are calculated for March, you would be considered a Senior Manager and would receive the appropriate earnings for that level for the entire month of March. 3) What happens if I am a Senior Manager and none of my Managers qualify during the month? If your title is Senior Manager and for one month your paid as title is Manager, your Generation 1 Bonus will be 2% instead of 5%. The 2% Generation 1 Bonus is effectively a fall back position. 4) If someone below me promotes to a higher rank before I do, will she pass me by? No, your downline lineage remains intact and you will continue to earn based on levels and generations (no your downlines titles). It is possible that you could have someone on your team at a higher rank than you, but they will not by-pass you nor will it cause you to lose earnings on their performance. 5) If someone downline from me promotes to Manager or higher, do their sales count in my personal group volume? No, your group volume includes all the people in your downline but stops at and does not include any Manager or above and their downline. 6) If a Chocolatier in my first level leaves the business and her team rolls up to me, do her team members count as Personally Recruited? Your total Level 1 Chocolatier count will include the Chocolatiers you personally sponsored and any Chocolatiers that rolled up to you when their sponsor left the business. Only the Chocolatiers that you sponsor will count as a Personally Recruited Chocolatier.
