INTRODUCTION OF BUSINESS
ABC & company is the government contractor & general order suppliers approved for health
department. The company is registered as wholesale (supplier) under sales tax act, 1990. The major
responsibility of the company is to supply the fresh food items to different hospitals by keeping in mind
the health of the patients. The supply of items is provided on daily basis.
The company is supplying the food items to following hospitals:
PIMS Hospital
CDA Hospital
The company is also engaged with the following contractors:
Muhammadi Traders
Kashif Agency
The sales purchase department is fully functional in its operation and has its own transport facility to go
elsewhere and purchase the items from different markets and stores.
Following are the food items that are included in the supply.

Fresh meat (Beef & Chicken)


Vegetables
Milk (Olpers)
Daal
Corn Flakes
Peppers
Flour

ENVIRONMENTAL ENTITIES
The environmental entities include the internal and external accounts of the company.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL ACCOUNTS
The company has divided its accounts department into three portions.
Store Keeper
Supplier
Manager
Store Keeper

The responsibility of the store keeper is to collect all the food items and store them to the store room of
the company and likewise calculating the amount of each food item while purchasing. The overall bill of
the purchased items is provided to the manager to keep the record.

Supplier

The responsibility of the supplier is to fulfill the orders of the hospitals to which the company has a
contract. After successful delivery, the supplier receives a receipt from the hospital on daily basis and
likewise handed it over to the manager to keep the record of the delivery.
Manager

The responsibility of the manager is to calculate the bills on monthly basis that were provided by the
store keepers and the suppliers. After calculation of all the bills and receipts another balance sheet will
be created that contains the overall expenses throughout the month.

The CEO of the company bids on the tenders and takes the whole decisions for the benefit of the
company. All the strategies are devised by the CEO and are handed over to the managers so that they
can act accordingly.
MANAGER
The manager after getting the clear idea of the devised strategies makes the plan for the whole month
and elaborates the responsibilities to the labors for the whole month.

LABOUR
Labor executes the plan of the CEO as elaborated by the manager. They have the sheet for the supply
items to be purchased and deliver them to the recipients according to their demands.

CURRENT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES


All the working performed in the company from tender bidding to supply of items and balance sheets is
totally manual. The company is looking for software to automate its operations to meet the current
business requirements. As each and every record is manual and is calculated at the end of the month so
there are more chances of error in calculations.

BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
The current performance of the company is above average and the company is looking forward to make
it 100%.
