ADMISSION POLICY
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For Under Graduate Programs: Minimum 60% marks in class X and 45% in class XII Or Less than 60% in class X and 50% in class XII

For Post Graduate Programs /PG Diploma: Minimum 60% marks in class X, 45% in class XII and 50% in Graduation Or Less than 60% in class X, 50% in class XII and 50% in Graduation

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
(1) 5 Passport size coloured photographs th (2) 10 class Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Original) th (3) 12 class Mark sheet & Passing Certificate (Original) (4) Graduation Mark sheet for all 3 years (Original) (5) Transfer Certificate from the last school/college/institute attended (Original) (6) Migration Certificate from the last school/college/institute attended (Original) (7) Character Certificate from the last school/college/institute attended (Original) (8) Domicile Certificate) (9) Caste /Category Proof (10) Income Proof (Original) Two sets of attested photocopies of all the above documents.

NOTE: If any of the above mentioned documents are not available, then the admission given shall be provisional till submitted. The required documents will have to be submitted latest by September 2012.

FEE
ALL Fees (Course, Hostel & Conveyance) will have to be paid semester wise and the first semester fees should be collected at the time of initial admission itself. Payment will be collected through Demand Draft, Bank Transfer or Cheque Only. Registration Fee only can be collected through cash. Fee details for the session 2012-13 can be taken from Annexure 1.

The admission of a candidate will be treated as confirmed only when his full amount of Provisional Admission Fee is being deposited. Students confirmed for admission shall have to deposit the balance fees for the first year/semester within next 30 days. Those students wishing to avail bank loan and requiring extra shall make a request for the same and can take all the documents related to bank loan from the University. Students will not be allowed to enter in the class and will not be given the Enrollment No. till the time they submit their Course Fee for first year/semester.

FEE CONCESSIONS
A scholarship form has to be filled by the counselor and has to be attached with the registration form of the student in order to keep a check and keep a record of the scholarship being given to a student. (Annexure 2) Scholarship to be given to the student on the basis of his past academic record is as follows:

Upto 60% Marks in Class XII Between 61-75% Marks in Class XII Between 76-87.9% Marks in Class XII 88 % and above Marks in Class XII

No Scholarship 20% on Course Fee 35% on Course Fee

50% on Course Fee

NOTE: The scholarship will be made available to only those students who will not have any back paper in future semesters and 65% marks in aggregate in both the semester examinations. Students of SC, ST and OBC category having BPL Card will have to pay Registration and Provisional Admission Fee only. The course fee will be reimbursed by the concerned state welfare departments. If there is a difference between the prescribed course of the University and amount reimbursed from Social Welfare Department, the student will have to pay the difference. 25 Students who belong to BPL category (irrespective of SC/ST/OBC/SBC/Gen) and have obtained 90% and above marks in the qualifying examination will be provided with FREE EDUCATION. Preferences are as follows: Staff Children of the MPGI Group 10 War Widow and PWD 05 Open 10

A five member committee will decide about conferring free ship to the 25 students among the above categories. They will not be provided with hostel but no other fees will be charged from them. In the subsequent years they must maintain minimum 65% marks in aggregate over two semester examinations.

HOSTEL FEE: For the student taking admission in the year 2012-13, the hostel charges will be Rs.60, 000/-(Rupees Sixty Thousand Only). The same will be hiked by 10% every year at a flat rate. This has to be positively communicated to the students /parents while taking the admission.

LATERAL ENTRY
Lateral Entry in second year will be allowed in B.Tech only. The student coming for lateral entry should have completed his/her Diploma from a government recognized college/institute with minimum 50% marks. The branches available are as follows: Diploma In Mechanical,Fitter, Automobile,Refrigeration Civil,Plumbing,Carpentry Electrical E&C,Telecommunication,Radio Engineering Computer,Information Technology Eligible For B.Tech-Mechanical B.Tech-Civil B.Tech-Electrical B.Tech-Electronics & Communication B.Tech-Computer Science

The fee for Lateral Entry in B.Tech will be as follows:
