Task 1/ tr23 3:22 The bar chart illustrates the proportion of global population and wealth by various regions

in the world. As can be seen from the chart, there is great gap between the distribution of population and wealth in surveyed areas, except for Latin America and Caribbean. The largest difference is recorded in North America. While the population of this area accounts for a tiny 6% of the global population, the wealth of this region takes up about 34% of global population. The second largest gap belongs to Rich Asia-Pacific with 5% and 24% respectively. Europe makes up only 15% of the global population, despite accounting for 30% of the global wealth. Turning to areas where the percentage of population is greater than the distribution of global wealth, China is the most prominent country. Whereas having the greatest population, this country only makes up 3% of the wealth. India and other Asia pacific are close behind with the gaps are of 15% and 12% accordingly. Latin America and Caribbean shows the similar percentage of population and wealth (4% compared to 6%) In conclusion, Although North America, Europe and Asia Pacific are underpopulated but they create for an overwhelming majority of the global wealth. Task 2/tr24 It is a norm that in the modern society, both parents have to work outside to cope with a huge financial burden. The question of whether or not this trend brings positive effects on children s development has been the topic of endless debates. Whereas many people believe that children will be provided with better condition for comprehensive development based on the extra income (optional: of their parents), others are of the opinion that lack of support (what support? they had financial support) from parents will be harmful to the grown-up of children. In this essay, these both views will be discussed. Some people believe that a family consisting of a father who goes out to (for is better) work and a mother who stays at home will be beneficial for kids. No surprisingly, children of working parents will face more difficulties in studying at schools because they are not provided with support from their parents in homeworks and exam revisions. No one can deny that parental love is the most important factors for the development of children. The frequent absence of working parents is more likely to develop the feeling of emotional insecurity and frustration in children which lead them to get involved in drug use, drinking or even delinquent gangs. On the other hand, children in a family which both parents go out to work certainly enjoy better living standards. Greater income of both working parents which can afford modern and expensive conveniences can indulge their children in luxuries. Children have more chances to take up interesting courses for comprehensive development such as playing piano, playing tennis which are accessible for high-income family only. From my point of view, it is ideal if one of parents staying at home to take care of children while financial situation is abundant. Admittedly, the deficit in financial budget is easily confronted by any

family. Consequently, it is necessary for both parents to go to work. One possibility is for parents to reserve evenings and weekends spending with their children and then their children will not suffer in any way. In conclusion, working parents indeed will not end up in bad results in the development of children as often being thought by many people. What working parents should do is try their best to keep a balanced life while giving the whole family with a higher living standard.
