Versailles Treaty.

It was a known fact that the WW1 was started by Germany and Austria the dominati ng powers of the Central forces. The central powers in hope of annexing more territories continued their massacre s and bombings on other countries and their respective armies. This lead to a high loss of population in both the Allied powers and the Central powers.On top of that the cost of maintaining the army and adding new regimens to the army. Some of the many consequences of WW1 were:1)Loss of population 2)Loss in agricultural and industrial progress 3)Loss of natural resources eg:- metals, wildlife, flora and fauna 4)Loss of territory 5)Loss of historical monuments and literature 6)Excessive bombing in various capitals of Europe 7)Unrest and disturbance in the order of societies of other continents as the wa r seemed to continue for a long time so even those continents were in risk of lo sing their resources and territory. After the WW1 got over in 1918 there was a vast amount of disturbance in the soc ieties of both the Allied and Central powers.As it was Germany that started the World war one.The league of nations decided that they should be punished and should pay up for the expenses. They were entitled to pay a hefty amount of 6 Billion pounds. The monarch of Germany was beheaded and Germany turned into a republic.Even thou gh the monarch of Germany was the one who started the war.It was the citizens of Germany who had to pay the penalty amount of 6 billion pounds.Their annexed ter ritories were taken away. The League of nations announced that it was mandatory for Germany to pay the pen alty amount for starting the WW1 which terrorized the entire world in the years 1914 till 1919. The citizens of Germany had no other choice but to pay the penalty amount.For th is they had to work long hours and give hefty tax amounts. They were inspired by the Bolsheviks of Russia and their mission to convert Russ ia from a democratic republic to a Socialist country.The Weimar republic of Germ any was not good at maintaining the country and the citizens longed for a good p arty which would help them escape from the harsh punishment given to them by the League of Nations.They soon started to support the National Socialist German Wo rker's Party or the Nazi party. Legal restrictions Article 227 charges former German Emperor, Wilhelm II with supreme offense again st international morality. He is to be tried as a war criminal. Articles 228 230 tried many other Germans as war criminals. Article 231 (the "War Guilt Clause") lays sole responsibility for the war on Ger many and her allies, which is to be accountable for all damage to civilian popul ations of the Allies. Occupation of the Rhineland As a guarantee of compliance by Germany, Part XIV of the Treaty provided that th e Rhineland would be occupied by Allied troops for a period of 15 years.[12] Military restrictions Part V of the treaty begins with the preamble, "In order to render possible the initiation of a general limitation of the armaments of all nations, Germany unde rtakes strictly to observe the military, naval and air clauses which follow."[13 ] German armed forces will number no more than 100,000 troops, and conscription wi ll be abolished. Enlisted men will be retained for at least 12 years; officers to be retained for at least 25 years. German naval forces will be limited to 15,000 men, six battleships (no more than

10,000 tons displacement each), six cruisers (no more than 6,000 tons displacem ent each), 12 destroyers (no more than 800 tons displacement each) and 12 torped o boats (no more than 200 tons displacement each). No submarines are to be inclu ded. The import and export of weapons is prohibited. Poison gas, armed aircraft, tanks and armoured cars are prohibited. Blockades on ships are prohibited. Restrictions on the manufacture of machine guns (e.g. the Maxim machine gun) and rifles (e.g. Gewehr 98 rifles).
