Recommendations offered for Paul Ikonen: Paul Ikonen was a Social Work Intern at Hospice Advantage in Southfield MI. I was very impressed with his work ethics and sense of responsibility while working with our hospice team. He took advantage of all learning situations and volunteered many hours for our patients and families. I'm sure that he will be a success in whatever he attempts in life. I enjoyed his company while he was with us and respect him for the work that he accomplished. Marge Nickel, RN Administrator, Hospice Advantage

Paul Ikonen is a true master in the art of inspiring people to give of themselves. As Volunteer Coordinator, he has developed a wonderful program that serves a multitude of the difficult needs of our patients. Whether we need help in the office, company for a lonely patient, or a vigil for the dyingPaul can call upon his volunteers to fill the need. Paul always steps up and does more than 100%. Always anxious to learn new things and help out, he is a vital part of our team. A devoted husband and father, as well as an excellent man, he truly exemplifies the heart of hospice.

Catherine Smith, RN Clinical Services Director, Hospice Advantage Paul Ikonen is an outstanding person who has great work ethics. Paul has displayed great talent in speaking, running small groups to larger groups. Paul is great on computers in designing programs and speeches. Paul is honest, trusting and a giving person. Ron Ressler, CPBD, AIBD, Owner, Designer, Ressler Design, Inc Paul Ikonen was a student in my Mental Health/Social work classes from January 2011 through December 2011. During that time I found Paul to be a very serious student. He was always prepared for class and added to the classroom discussions. Paul worked well with his classmates. Due to Pauls excellent academic and interpersonal skills with his classmates he was asked to return to OCC in the fall semester as a teaching assistant.
