If the teacher dont know the sign language, for the student to understand the lessons, the school must provided a sign language interpreter to translated everything that teacher said. When communicating through an interpreter, look at the student and speak directly to him instead of to the interpreter. Learn how to get the attention. Once the teacher get the students attention, the teacher must careful speak slowly and face the student. Encourage to use gestures and facial expression. Its didnt take long before the students picked up on the gestures, and were able to understand what the teacher saying through body language. Using more visual process than verbal process. Using projector or chalkboard to demonstrated and present the exercise or lesson. Repeat and rephrase. Previewing a chapter, study card with key vocabulary and definitions, and reviewing questions at the end of the chapter are helpful.
