by Gill Wallace Hope on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 3:05pm Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak will invest $1 bn in Queen of Green to bring scale and speed to the green transformation across UAE. Emirati women from the Womens Union, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, ADIA, ADIC, EIA, ADEC and womens groups across UAE are mobilizing finance and resources to support. H.H. Sheikha Fatima said the growth and progress of women in our society are going ahead achieving a balanced social level of development depending on the instructions of the Islamic religion and the origins of the Arab Islamic civilization which honored the woman and called for her growth, and benefiting from the whole developing programs that are occurring now in countries outside. This is our position to support such development in our country spiritually and financially, what we get of real support from our society is something appreciated and honored as H.H. Sheikh Zayed is proud of it". Gill Wallace Hope, Founder and Director of Queen of Green said I wanted an investment partner who deeply loved UAE and understood the wisdom of Shiekh Zayed and his balance of people, nature and development. Shiekha Fatima is the Mother of the Nation and only a mothers love can care about the sustainability of UAE for her children, grand children and great grandchildren. Gill Wallace Hope has invested in UAE since 2007. She completed the Policy work from Washington DC selecting UAE to be the first green country to give leadership across MENA. In 2009 she arrived in UAE and started the challenging work on the ground going overland across 6 Emirates, understanding the issues, cultural attitudes, language barriers and knowledge transfer required to bring about the transformation. UAE is the No 1 Water, Food and Energy Security country in the world with 1600% water consumption over renewable supplies, 3 weeks of food and 30% self-consumption of oil and gas. Hope focused on a systems solution bringing scale and speed to emerge a green economy. She said With Queen of Green, UAE can earn export dollars for 30% its self-consumed oil and gas plus reduce water consumption by 50% and increase safe food supplies. I cried when I saw over 600 farms with 2,400 laborers and no crops in Sharama and Al Khattem. I experienced blackouts in Sharjah that resulted in food poisoning and soaring hospital admissions. Ive seen whole areas with no electricity and huge wastes of water and energy. Hope explains. The Environmental Policy in the Holy Quran is profound yet simple and through the mass collaboration of Emeratis, ex-pats and workers we will transform UAE into a green and sustainable country and be a role model for the region and the world she said.

Hope spoke at the inaugural IT for Government conference last October and inspired the IT sector throughout the region to go green. http://www.ameinfo.com/277985.html Her leadership for 200,000 unemployed women in KSA with 4 million viewers on MBC in March 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSWru9sIfPQ&list=PLE9BB44DEBF8DF93F&feature=plcp Ban Ki Moon, Director General of the UN who launched Energy 4 All at WFES in January 2012 and Nancy Pelosi, Speaker, Washington DC called both women to congratulate the full scale implementation for UAE.
