NET MVC 3 in Action Party with Palermo Plugged in, not charging Windows 7 solution 12 May 2010 I recently had the popular problem of Windows 7 battery manager malfunctioning a nd not charging my battery when plugged in. The battery was fine, the power sup ply was fine, and the motherboard was fine (I have enough laptops with the same specs in the Headspring office, and I was able to swap out parts to isolate the problem). I also searched for this problem online, and many fol s are having this problem with all ma es of laptop computers. I found the steps that solved my problem he re on the TechNet forums. There are multiple solutions proposed, and here are the steps that fixed it for me: Disconnect AC Shutdown Remove battery Connect AC Startup Under the Batteries category, right-clic all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Co ntrol Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it s o if you only have 1). Shutdown Disconnect AC Insert battery Connect AC Startup Please comment if this fixes your problem so that others can solve their problem sooner. I was surprised at how many people were having this problem with Windo ws 7. Read More 77 Comments Comments Raj Kaimal said on 5.12.2010 at 4:58 PM Good post! I thought it was a problem, and tried all the tric s that I read here and other sites. This morning I decided I would call Sam sung, so I went into Start, Programs then Samsung. The first item in the list is Battery Life Extender, so I thought what the hec I'll chec it out. Turns out that there are two modes, one that charges the battery to 100% and another that is to extend the battery life by only charging to 80% (useful if the laptop is u sed mostly plugged in li e mine). It was set on the 80% setting, so I changed it to 100%, now my batter is completely full.
