While at the CCC&HC I worked with Executive Director, Ruth Bogutz to determine the monies needed for upcoming proposed gallery programs. I selected, scheduled and physically installed the art exhibitions and coordinated all the related events (opening receptions, gallery talks, special events & artists demos during the exhibits, etc.). I handled all the paperwork and publicity (releases, printed notices, emails, C&H/Library websites, etc.) for these events, developed prospectus where needed, borrowed furnishings which

appropriately enhanced each exhibit installed and visited the participating artists studios to select work for each of the exhibitions. I updated the CCC&HC listing of local artists & art supporters and obtained emails whenever possible to help lower the monthly C&H mailings. Once the exhibits were over, I dismantled, packed up (when necessary) and returned the gallery walls to a workable condition by spackling & painting.

BEADS in CLAY
Clay Beads have always been made in abundance. They were first painted in patterns similar to those used on pots or bowls. Making beads in clay is a skill which is easy to perfect. The clay material presents a design opportunity limited only by the imagination and expertise of the maker. This class will be spent making BEADS in CLAY - all shapes and styles which will then be left raw or finished with terra sigillata. Beads from the past speak of the maker, the wearer and the society where the art of beads flourishedso, come join us as we make our own distinctive artifacts! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

PRINT-TO-POT
This adventure in hand building starts with the making of Clay Fabrics from clay slabs, engobes, underglazes, stain, textures and contrasting clay inlays. We will then create incredible foam-pressed trays, vases & pinch-strip constructions from these fabrics as well as explore the timeless pinch pot. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
