Preliminary Pages of Your Report


1st Page: Cover Page: It includes the topic and students name: Title of the Report Submitted to Submitted by Date of Submission and Place 2nd Page: Letter of Authentication Signed by your Supervisor of Organization in which you carried out internship program 3rd Page: Declaration Letter Stating that this is your original work and taking ownership of the work 4th Page: Letter of Acknowledgements 5th Page: Table of Contents 6th Page: List of Tables and Figures (If required) 7th Page: List of Abbreviation Used 8th Page: Executive Summary of the Report

II. Main Body of Your Report


Chapter 1: Introduction It should include general background relevance of the internship topic, and details about the purpose of the internship. Should include what you hoped to learn and the nature of experience you hoped to gain. Chapter 2: Industry and Organizational Profile It should include Short description of the industry in which your organization is in, introduce your organization and explain functions it perform, the place it occupies in the industry and in nation, product and services it offer and so on. Chapter 3: Analysis of Job Performed This section is about your Internship Experience. In this section your writing should include critical analysis of job performed report about: Internship activities: Describe what you did during your internship. Internship achievements: Describe what you accomplished during your internship.

Discussion and evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of your internship work and of the organization. Describe successful efforts and suggest measures for improvement. Compare outcomes of your internship with your original goals or objectives. You can also use management tools such as SWOT Analysis or PEST Analysis for effectiveness evaluation of the organization as a whole or the department where you worked as per necessary Chapter 4: Conclusion and Lesson Learnt This section includes the conclusion that you have drawn from your experience, what lesson you learnt from the job and what gap you observed in theory and practice. You can also write recommendation to organization, university and/or college to make the internship more fruitful.

III. Supporting Part of Your Report


This part would include: Appendices: relevant to your study References: you have made from other writers and researchers important to your study Writing Format and Citation Font: Chapter topic should be of size 16, 14 for main topics and 12 for subtopics; Style should be bold for topics and regular for text; fonts should be in Times New Roman Page Setup: Leave Margin: 1 inch (top, right and bottom) and 1.5 inch (left); Paper Size is A4 Pagination: Page numbers should appear in all pages except in the cover page; page numbers should be located at bottom margin and right. Page number in the preliminary part should be in Roman (i, ii, iii,). Page number should not appear in the title page, recommendation letter, approval letter but these pages should be counted. Page number should be in Arabic (1, 2, 3) Paragraph: Line Spacing should 1.5 line followed through out the text; Alignment: Justified; Paragraph should start two spaces below the topic. Citation and References: APA (American Psychological Association) method for citation should be followed and citations should be alphabetically ordered and should have hanging indent.
