To promote regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the rule of law in the relationship among countries of the region and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter. 3. To provide assitance to each other in the form of training and research facilities 4. .To promote assitance to each other in the form of training and research facilities in the educational, professional, technical and administrative spheres. 5. To maintain close and benefical cooperation with existing international and regional organizations with similiar aims and purposes, and explore all avenues for even closer cooperation among themselves. 2007: Pada KTT ke-12 ASEAN Summit di Cebu, Filipina tahun 2007, The Leader of Asean Signing the Cebu Declaration on the Acceleration of the Establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015. And than , ASEAN Community will begin to be realized at 2015brought forward five years from the original plan. ASEAN CHARTER ASEAN Charter came into force effective from 15 December 2008. ASEANcharter to be an important basis for the realization of an ASEAN Community by 2015, especially regarding the legal and institutional status. Asean Charter is a set of norms, laws and values and to provide direction and purpose for ASEAN. The significance of the Charter is to transform ASEAN from a loose-association organization with legal personality. INDONESIA AS A LEADER ASEAN 2011 As chair of ASEAN in 2011 and Indonesia has targeted the following objectives: First, ensuring the achievement of significant progress for the realization of an ASEAN Community 2015 on the three pillars of ASEAN Second, ensure that the development of regional architecture is conducive to the process of development in each ASEAN member country. Therefore, ASEAN should play a leadership role in East Asian Summit forum and ASEAN Regional Forum as well as in forums of cooperation with partners other speech. Third, start the formulation of the ASEAN vision of post-2015 which further strengthens the role of ASEAN in the global community forum.
