Adani Mundra port has diversified into various cargoes li e coal, container, steel, agri commodities, ship to shore, automobile exports, containers, crude, vegetable oil and chemicals. In the financial year 2010-11 Adani Mundra Port handled over 6300 ra es which was possible due to the infrastructure available at the port. Presently port has 5 locomotives, 9 sidings for general cargo, 3 sidings for containers, 3 sidings for agri commodities, 5 sidings for coal and lines available for handling blac and white oil. This rail infrastructure is also capable of handling double stac trains. The port presently has over 400 ms distance advantage over Mumbai region ports from Northern hinterland. The port will have connectivity to high speed Dedicated Freight Corridor between Delhi and Mumbai. *Road Connectivity*: Adani Mundra Port has seamless connectivity through National Highway (NH 8A Ext.) & State Highway (6 & 48) from Northern and Western parts of India. The port also has over 70 nsof arterial and sub-arterial road networ within the SEZ . *Air Connectivity*: The nearest commercial airports to Mundra SEZ are at Bhuj (65 m) and Kandla (60 m).Mundra Airport is a licensed airport in Private Category with Air Traffic Control (ATC) which is operated by Airport Authority of India (AAI). Present runway strip is 1900 meters, which will be expanded to 4500 meters. Precision Approach Path Finder is already installed to facilitate the smooth approach of Jet Aircraft. Night landing facilities are also available for the jets. There is also a plan to upgrade this facility to an international Air Cargo Hub. (AHPPL)* is strategically located on the west side of the Hazira peninsula at approximately Latitude: 21 06 North, Longitude: 072 37 East. Adani Hazira Port will provide a convenient international trade gateway to Europe, Africa, America and the Middle East. In the year 2002, Hazira Port Concession Agreement(CA) was signed between the Gujarat Maritime Board, The Government of Gujarat and Hazira Port Private Limited. Construction of an LNG import terminal at Hazira started in April 2002. The LNG terminal with an initial capacity to handle about 2.0 MMTPA (Phase1A) and has the capacity to be expanded to a long-term throughput of 10.0 MMTPA. Adani Hazira Port Pvt Ltd (AHPPL) will operate all non-LNG facilities in Hazira Port under the terms of the agreement with Hazira Port Pvt. Ltd. (HPPL). The port development plan includes the long-term port development with non-LNG cargo terminals (container and bul terminals, and a proposed liquid terminal). LNG Terminal will continue to be operated by HPPL. In the future, both entities together will constitute the Hazira Port. AHPPL expects to commence operations in the first quarter of 2012. 5 Berths will be developed and operated as part of the first phase. Out of the 5 berths, 2 will cater for the containers, 1 for coal and 2 berth will be used as a multi-purpose terminal for handling vessels of sizes varying from 80,000 DWT to 150,000 DWT. Handling systems with state of art dust suppression system will be constructed for smooth handling of cargo. *Containerised cargo*: 2 container berths with a quay length of 650 meters available for handling over one million TEUs per annum. The facilities will include 4 Rail Mounted Quay Cranes, 12 Rubber Tyre Gantry Cranes and on doc container Freight stations. *Liquid Cargo*: Proposed to develop 50 tan s with a capacity of 94500 KL.
