06-30-2011 04:01 PM Your printer does have a scanner. It is the laser/scanner which writes the image to the drum of the toner cartridge. Odds are the motor inside the scanner has issues. It could also be the toner cartridge as I have seen this on a few hp models. This is a fairly new printer so if under warranty bring to an authorized support provider for repair.
