Verse 1 O Mind!

Strive right knowledge to attain, pierce the void between two phases main wipe out desires from impressions gained. Eternal peace and bliss gain. ******

Verse 2 With objects of world by passion, attachments grow; Desires unfulfiled into a million streams flow; Grief, worries, hate, pride and arrogance; Weaves waves of doubt and tangles of arrogance. *****

Verse 3 Desire, anger, greed and impatience vast; Mind enslaved wrong view, fear cast immense; Right conduct unknown tension; Right knowledge alone dispels misfortune immense. ******

Verse 4 Disaster cant be dispelled without right knowledge; Peace and Bliss are impossible in the wake of disaster; No right knowledge, no escape from disaster; Peace and bliss impossible despite such disaster; Truth revealed by meditation, introspection; Without right conduct, impossible meditation. ****** Verse 5 Right knowledge discerns the trap of fetters all; Constant mindfulness, realizes what befalls; All worldly actions but renounce fetters whole; Leads a pure life, attains love of the soul. ****** Verse 6 Understand objects for what they are; Whom prejudiced mind bewilders not; Who marches on right part through; Is indeed known as wise person true. ******

Verse 7 Who keeps an eye on body to restrain; Watch all actions, to life maintain; Spiritual well-being he never ignores; Ever mindful, he right faith follows. ******

Verse 8 Mindfulness permits not objects trapping; Not their pleas nor moves cunning; Avoids objects, self knowledge gain; Energetic efforts, peace and bliss obtain. ******

Verse 9 Fond of material objects, supported by passion; Loses restraint, right faith and action; But love of right knowledge and such like inspiration; Ignores whole world, if fond of meditation. ******

Verse 10 Effaced not my, mine, your ego; Bind others too this ego; If renounced through efforts true; But if it disappears in ones self; Not discovered in others too. ******

Verse 11 Lack of wisdom and mindfulness; Rightly harasses the spiritual ignorance; Revives past impressions names and forms ***Pg 22; Cause the fall again, worlds well fathomless. ******

Verse 12 Lost is wisdom and mindfulness, darkness settled; Realization of loss, past impressions kindled; To be in the world, constant passion aglow; Creates names and forms, life and death flow. ******

Verse 13 Strong wave of insatiable worldly passion; Loss of spiritual right, mindfulness destruction; Lets not develop right intellect indeed; Entangles in world, this nescience indeed. ******

Verse 14 Association with objects, obsession with ego; Loss of objects leads to hurt ego; Non association with objects, non availability of ego; Spiritual ignorance root cause of all ego. ******

Verse 15 Desire to be forever revives past impressions; Wrong tendencies and fetters cause deception; Ultimate refuge in death from ever growing pain; Like dream while asleep opting for birth again. ******

Verse 16 Steady wisdom and mindfulness, nescience ceases to exist; Despite pain and grief, right knowledge of life persists; If knowledge not lost, spiritual truth perceived; How mind wisdom in waves of the world deceived? ******

Verse 17 Unless you emerge from the womb of right faith; How would you know what lies beyond? If physical pleasures always possess the mind; How then for right faith a moment to find? ******

Verse 18 One who is alert and mindful in all actions; Observes his sense organs even in routine actions; Makes right efforts and allows no wrong actions; Observes wrong tendencies, dispels one by one. ******

Verse 19 First you will know your own self; First step indeed in realization of self; So first meditate on your own consciousness; Realize thus Universal, Supreme Consciousness. ******

Verse 20 Worldly pleasures in your mind dwell; My words blessing wont your pain dispel; Worldly success seeks your mind; Ultimate wellbeing how to find? ******

Verse 21 Transient though are worldly pleasures; Who but yourself may learn in ample measure? Unless you appreciate the path true; What can the master or God do? ******

Verse 22 If not ready to renounce weakness; What then is true love for ultimate bliss; Time for one lost, the other not gained; Seek false support, later repents mind. ******

Verse 23 T is true strong is time; And every moment it is prime; But most powerful is the soul supreme; That binds all moments in a stream. ******

Verse 24 Momentary impulse is indeed prime; And indeed unique is its mind; But that knowledge is indeed supreme; That in all moods one form assume. ******

Verse 25 Life devoted only to soul; Would lead to ultimate goal; The jungle of trivial pleasures; Would be of little measure. ******

Verse 26 An austere life, full of pain; If it helps eternal bliss attain; Better than worldly pleasures gain; That result in ultimate pain. ******

Verse 27 Worldly pleasures seem pleasant to gain; Realize their association is bad bargain; They were pleasant when a child; Look how they seem to the mature mind? ******

Verse 28 Some meditation does detach the mind; Mind and body eternal bliss do find; Despair if life attached with worldly actions; Eternal bliss then would meet destruction. ******

Verse 29 Pleasures worldly acts wouldnt sustain; Capacity to act may or may not remain; No freedom from acts, no spiritual delight; Unable to pastime, miserable plight. ******

Verse 30 Try to avoid trivial pain; Keep mind, intellect pure, wrong act renounce; Conduct noble of body and speech maintain; With energy, right knowledge, fears renounce. ******

Verse 31 Dwell side by side Pride and affection; In worldly objects grief, bewildering passion gain; Asserting superiority and impression; Provoked pride, conduct of wrong actions. ******

Verse 32 Ego is the product of Pride and Affection; Pleasures since birth bred greater passion; Desire worldly pleasures, no realization of God; Gain eternal bliss if observe in all God. ******

Verse 33 Ego is developed in pleasure, destroyed in pain; Attachment, Aversion bind, all in pain; Please God, avoid pleasures, endure pain; Freedom from ego, ultimate liberation gain. ******

Verse 34 For pleasure or pain is such and such being; Self being, others becoming, ocean of being; Both cause pain, persistent being and non-being; Even in sleep, death is preserved and produced this being. ******

Verse 36 Increasing worldly pleasures feed insatiable passion; Loss of wisdom through excitement, wrong actions; Our eating, wrong speech, sins intoxication; Souls curse disease, grief, punishment fashions. ******

Verse 37 Limited pleasure, right ways gain; Disappointment indeed, mind though in pain; Destroyer of being is this trivial pain; Knowledge, meditation drive away even greater pain. ******

Verse 38 Success in right faith does provide pleasure; Wrong is intoxication with such pleasure; Excitement aroused lead to wrong action; If wisdom awaken then, later repent. ******

Verse 39 Transient pleasures may I not prefer; That conceal conflicts outer and inner; Seems pleasant some pain in meditation; That leads to right knowledge meditation. ******

Verse 40 No personal efforts, no realizing; Dark night dispelled not by others teaching; Pure and discovers energy in himself; All truths realized in his own self. ******

Verse 41 The whole day in worldly pleasures wasted; Whole life in waiting for them wasted; It seems this body was born only to die; No doubt it is natures slavery. ******

Verse 42 Noble future none likes to contemplate; No noble goal of life at any rate; Such wrong actions, how soul contemplate; Lose God and meet your sad fate. ******

Verse 43 Steadfast impossible in darkness of ignorance; Impatience of pain seeks assistance; Solution possible with pain endurance; Dawn of right knowledge if not passion disturbance. ******

Verse 44 Absent passions reaction, mind at peace; Right knowledge awakened, bliss and peace; Dispelled all fetters after visualization; Bathed in wave of right knowledge, renunciation. ******

Verse 45 Some sages realized some truth; Understood it and recited that truth; Much greater were those who; Kept silent, realized whole truth. ******

Verse 46 Great masters showed the path of truth; Themselves tread the path of truth; And told that masters and strivers; Linked only by right faith. ******

Verse 47 False relations, no path; Whatever be their path; Others may follow different path; Let them follow their own path. ******

Verse 48 Conceived God as per his own mind; Only expression of his pride; Truth of scriptures if realized; Truth, beauty, bliss prized. ******

Verse 49 Only heard, not seen Supreme Soul at all; How can you meditate in mind; Regard him as image of noble merits all; Constant remembrance establish in mind. ******

Verse 50 Someones noble merit visualized; Happily establish the same in mind; Jealousy shattered, gone aversion, pride; One with universe, gone narrowness of mind. ******

Verse 51 Not steadfast in pain, no right knowledge; Ignorance cheats one having pleasures passion; Like fish out of water, mind keen for right knowledge; Removes fetters, but obstruct past impression. ******

Verse 52 Opposed to demerits is merits abode; Develop liberating powers, weakness opposed; Contemplate welfare through them, allied pure mind; Adopt them and end to pains find. ******

Verse 53 Separate atoms look ugly, unpleasant one; Omniscient God integrates them into one; Grants glow through bright source one; And binds them all in chain one. ******

Verse 54 Establishes all in mind the omniscient; They appear and disappear every moment; Appearance and disappearance, a dynamism divine; Establish God, and attain peace in mind. ******

Verse 55 Bliss lies in His bright waves; His mighty presence in each wave; Why entangle mind in worldly pleasures or pain; Why waste life in acquiring pleasure, avoiding pain? ******

Verse 56 Unpleasantness dominates one in pain; No wishing away this unbearable pain; Spirituality occurs not, nescience reigns; Avoid fetters, dispel cycle of pain. ******

Verse 57 Pain dispelled, pure mind, spiritual have attain; Fascinates right knowledge, misery nescience wave; Mindfulness, realization of soul in pain; Constant meditation, right efforts , care in main. ******

Verse 58 Pursuit of worldly pleasures, no support in pain; Deception impossible, real bites the pain; Wise one observe and perceive the root of pain; Renounce pleasures, soul abolish all pain. ******

Verse 59 Pain of world, acknowledged truth, false is the hope of pleasure; Ignoring truth, disappointment in search for pleasure; Mind not disappointed, learns living in pain; Pursue not wrong actions, body, mind restrain. ******

Verse 60 Wrong life gets stronger, so learn to live in pain; Renounce passion, realize this as root of pain; Looks as it is, indeed evidence of truth; Be mindfulness, meditation, have energy, right faith. ******

Verse 61 Insatiable worldly passion reminds of pleasures, tempts the mind; Lack of faith, oblivious of right path, frightens pain unkind; Right energy removes obstacles, mindful meditates truth revelation; Only by right faith, right energy, mindful meditation. ******

Verse 62 Why such a burden of worldly pleasures; That lead to pain and multiple disasters; That lead to wrong actions and intellect; And cause wrong decisions, judgement. ******

Verse 63 Troubled by doubt and fear every moment; Desire, anger allow no peace, cause torment; Envy, jealousy, fault finding; Pursuit of pleasures prevent well-being. ******

Verse 64 Multiple wrong tendencies exercise the mind; Spiritual well being a fraud they find; Such people in the world are shameless; Lead to wrong actions by selfishness. ******

Verse 65 No thought of right faith, right action; Destroys the path of meditation; Mind lost in wrong recollection; Mind absorbed in jungle of passion. ******

Verse 66 Like garland of waves right knowledge flow; Each moment ignores farewell bows; Stays not a moment wrong view or fetter; Occupation of seat would all pain shatter. ******

Verse 67 Right knowledge, true self, blessing, divine; Steadfast meditation it so effect find; Trapped in vicious cycle, if lost is mindfulness; Passions obsess, worldly pleasures possess. ******

Verse 68 Mind filled with passion takes wrong direction; Pain is caused by loss of association; Mindfulness, right intellect ignores pleasures, endures pain; Bliss is seat of meditation dispels all pain. ******

Verse 69 Doesnt stay long pain in mind; Sleep, unconsciousness from increased pain; Endure patiently, transcend mind; Dispel sleep, meditation bliss again. ******

Verse 70 Energetically examine fetters caused by pain; Far spiritual knowledge, follow meditation in main; Examine, gain freedom, mind in bliss; Never that departs, attain that bliss. ******

Verse 71 Got great pain and not expected honour; Instead of honour got dishonour; So extreme tension caused by pain; Disturbs intellect weakens physical frame. ******

Verse 72 Live in solitude during such tension; Person causing pain not to mind mention; Nothing occurs in pain except great ignorance; Observe flow of pain, obtain spiritual essence. ******

Verse 73 Pain sure dispelled though sleep may overtakes; Resist sleep, meditation, salvation, bliss sake; Reduced pains, realize root of that pain; See that root in all, dispel disease of being and pain. ******

Verse 74 Fortified fetters, occasion for right knowledge; Mindfulness, meditation, right energy, no impulsiveness; With steady intellect, gain right knowledge; How escape being, if wrong tendencies in excess. ******

Verse 75 Becoming something due to pain is being; Steady, not becoming, ends as non-being; No bliss in frequent being and non-being; Only peace and knowledge bring escape from being. ******

Verse 76 Destroyed, rises anger, extreme pain; Cries attachment, causes misery and pain; Spreads fever of passion when aversion rises in pain; Bewilderment pushes one in fever of pain. ******

Verse 77 Drowned in duties, doubts not compact; Wrong views, not based on fact; Why have worries, all desires not gained; In dark night of nescience one dwells in pain. ******

Verse 78 Senses attached to own objects form in this world; Remain attached to formless even in next world; Liberation comes by still attached to; Transcending both form and formless. ******

Verse 79 Right knowledge looks pleasant only on the right path; Lead to being someone contrary path; Pleasant appears the wave of being and non-being; Seeing destruction sends once again to being. ******

Verse 80 Peace in non-duality of seat pleasant in the main; Develop right intellect, endure pain; Outer world would cause greater pain; See instant pleasure, later regret and pain. ******

Verse 81 No object is only seems to the mind; Still sinking in it, the trap of being find; Trap of all fetters, impatient in pain; Free through right knowledge, courageously endure pain. ******

Verse 82 Right view would realize true interest, consciousness; Every where prevails same supreme consciousness; Right view of self would develop mind pure; Escape the jungle of attachment, aversion, desire, anger. ******

Verse 83 Act with pure mind, geared to well-being; Dispel fetters, wrong tendencies, no wrong doing; Aim at life with limited needs; Watch pain, knowledge, dispel disease. ******

Verse 84 Diminished pleasures create a tempest in the mind; Faith in Him, lost not knowledge of your mind; Loss of self-knowledge, conduct wrong; Boat of right faith crosses not ocean of being. ******

Verse 85 Impulsive in eating, drinking, mind grows weak; Energy devoid, spiritual pursuits deprived, body weak; No solution, only time waste; Worthless association, thoughts, life waste. ******

Verse 86 Avoid wrong posture on seat of meditation; Be steadfast even if causes pain; Spare sometime though mind not inclined; Blessed if thus obtained realization of mind. ******

Verse 87 Transient is wave of mind, changing every moment; Doesnt realize in pain, person impatient; Realize it, the cause of pain, mere play of mind; Learn enduring pain, if absorbed mind. ******

Verse 88 What delicious foods consumed; Yet passion unfulfiled; See the disease worldly pleasures terrible; How intense, seems incurable. ******

Verse 89 Consumed excessive food like a glutton; Still there is unfilled passion; Examine this disease of passion; How intense and causing tension! ******

Verse 90 Why pursue something; That would never be permanent; Howsoever the time be spent; What use its recalling. ******
