By M W Bo, J Chu, B K Low and V Choa

Written by authors with years of research and project experience in soil improvement using prefabricated vertical drains, the book illustrates both theoretical and practical aspects with frequent references to several land reclamation and soil improvement projects in Asia. Consolidation theories and numerical methods involving vertical drains are presented, and selection of appropriate design parameters for soil improvement using prefabricated vertical drains is discussed. Projects Implementation and monitoring of performance are described. Several case studies are also presented.
