Interesting event In the novel Catch us if u can by Catherine MacPhail, an interesting event that shown in this adventurous novel is when the boy at the Perth Station tries to turn Rory and his Granda in to the police. He wants to be famous on television. There is suspense here and make the story become so attractive and we want to know if he will report them to the police. Rory calls him Sprout Breath because he has a dirtyteeth. He wears his cap back to front and has a bottle of lemonade. Sprout Breath grips Rory jacket, pushes him to the wall and asks for Granda. When he turns to look for Granda, Granda hits Sprout Breath across his head with his lemonade bottle and he falls unconscious. The challenge adventured of Rory starting from here. We could see a change in Granda. He behaves like a normal healthy person and they meet helpful person all the way. At Perth Station, Granda goes into the toilet as a gibbering old loon but comes out as the Godfather. He is in controland not Rory. He grips Rory and pulls him along to a steal car. He breaks the law. Granda hot wires an old blue Corsa and drives on the wrong side of road talking excitedly. Later , they stop at a petrol station in a small village to pump petrol. Granda is sleeping soundly in the car. There, the garage man gives Rory and Granda food and lets them sleep in his flat. The perth station incidence also motives Rory to plan to meet his father in Liverpool. Granda is ill in Rabs flat. That night, Rory listen to the news reporter on television. She says Granda has ason in Liverpool. There and then, he decides that his father , Jeff has to be responsible for them now. Rory plans to get money from him. We see that what Ruby told about his future comes true. At Zaras birthday , Ruby said people would helphim. Rab arranges for people to help Rory and Granda all the way to Liverpool. He drives them to the Borders. From there, Annie , his girlfriend takes them to Lake District. They meet Annies cousin , Norma and her daughter , Nicole there. He meets his father, Jeff. Jeffs wife , Karen and his sisters , Rhonda and Ava. In the end, Rory and Granda live comfortably near Jeff in Liverpoool. The incident at Perth Station with Sprout Breath speeds up the plot with many adventurous, cliff hangers. It changes rorys life in the end. That is why it is interesting.

Based on the novel Catch Us If You Can by Catherine MacPhail, the writer had potrayed many interesting event that make me so eager to read this novel. The first reason is the escape shows that love conquers all with Granda from the auhorities that want they separate where Rory lives in Castle Street while Granda lives in Rachnadar. However , Rory does not want to separate with Granda so he plans to escape with his friend, Darren. Fortunately, Darren gives key to his mums caravan for Rory and Granda to live in it. Then, Rory goes to Rachnadar and wedges the emergency exit door. After packing Grandas , Rory bring Granda away from there. This shows that if we love someone we are wiling to do anything for him or her. Therefore, it realized us that we need to take good care of our loves one to show our love towards them. Meanwhile, the second reason is the Great Escape creates a lot of good relationship. During the escape Rory meets lots of good people there. They lend their helping hand to help Rory in his escape plan. For example, Sammys family saves Rory and Granda from being caught by the police. They bring Rory and Grandato their caravan. They also give them shelter and food for them. Besides, Rory makes friend with Rob which is the owner of a petrol station. Rob is understanding towards Rorys plan which is meet Rorys father at Liverpool. Therefore, Rob does not reveal the plan to Granda. This totally clear that we need to have a good relationship with neither everybody nor everybody as we need some help from them when we are in trouble. On top of that, another interesting view that potrayed is strengthness bond between family members. At the caravan site, Rory and Granda do a lot of things together. They fishing together merrily. Although Granda does not catch any single fish, Rory feels grateful as he still can see his Grandas brightness smile after being separate about few days. Moreover , Granda also cooks some mouthwatering breakfast for Rory even he does a lot of silly things before like setting up a fire in their flat when left chip pan stove on. Granda also hotwires a car for Rory and his escape from authorities. This obviously shows great escape causes the relationship between Rory and Granda become more stronger. Therefore, we need to always nourish our family relationshipin any matter that happened in our life. In the conclusion, the part of the novel Catch Us If You Can which is the great escape teaches me a lot of superior lesson that I can practice in my life.

Based on the novel that I have studied which is Catch Us If You Can by Catherine MacPhail, there are many interesting event occurs that helps to develop the storyline of novel. The part that I think it make me so fervent to continue reading is when Rory and Granda were on the way of Great Escape. This is because a young boy is manage to take care of his grandfather all the way. Before Rory and Granda went for Great Escape, Rory did make preparation in order to take care of his Granda. He took all Grandas medicine and sweater for his grandfather as he know that he really need that things.Run away from authorities make granda looks pale and unhealthy. Immediately, Rory gave the medicine so that Granda will be fine. This shows that despite at young age, someone could be matured and can be hope on. Apart from that, kindness and compassionate are shown when someone in hardship condition. Rory and Granda faced so many challenges during their Greay escape. Instead of that, many strangers had helped them as kindness and compassionate exist in themselves. For example, Rob had helped them at petrol station . Looking at Granda, Rob feels so sorry as Granda looked extremely exhausted and pale. Rob did offered them a shelter and food in order to help them. With gentleness Rab handle Granda into his flat to take a rest. This is obviously appered in the novel and we should practice this value in real life. In addition love and care are shown between family members in a strong family relationship. This can proven when Granda did prepared breakfast for Rory in the first morning they at the caravan. With full of love, Granda made breakfast for Rory who he loved so much and their relationship is just like move to fatner and son rather than grandfather and grandson. Rory taught Granda had back normal but when he relised Granda make mistake with the coffee, he knows the reality. But for Rory it was alright as Granda only wants to show his love. For Rory, he does not care all that, as what he know, he love his Granda and cannot be saperated even his Granda has memory lapses. This shows that love is really strong between them and we should follow this in daily life. As a conclusion, I think this Great Escape has many interesting event that had been portrayed in the novel.
