INTRODUCTION: AS A PART OF THE CURRICULUM BASED ON THE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COURSE, AS STUDENTS OF DOMS ANNA UNIVERSITY.WE ARE HERE IN YOUR PREMISES TO CONDUCT AN EXCITING ACTIVITY FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PERCEPTION AND NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION PLAYS AND IMPORTANT ROLE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE. IN OUR ACTIVITY WE WILL MAKE YOU TO UNDERSTAND HOW WE ARE INFERRING THINGS SIMPLY BY SEEING AND IN WHICH WAY IT AFFECTS OUR DECISION MAKING. ALSO WE WILL BRING OUT TO YOU THE IMPORTANCE OF NON VERBAL COMMMUNICATION. THE SECOND ACTIVTY WILL BE ON AN INTUITION TO MAKE STUDENTS TO REALISE IN WHICH AREA ARE THEY AN EXPERT AT. TODAY MOST STUDENTS GIVE UP THEIR IN BORN TALENTS TO PURSUE A GOAL WHICH THEIR PARENTS OR OTHERS WANT THEM TO DO. HENCE WE HAVE SEEN LOT OF NEGATIVE SEQUENCES DUE TO THIS IN REAL LIFE. HENCE WE WILL MAKE THE STUDENTS TO REALISER THEMSELVES WITH SOME PERSONAL QUESTIONS AND ALSO WITH SOME REAL TIME EXAMPLES OF GREATS.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: ACTIVITY 1: ACTIVITY BASED ON NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION Where people perception differs in day-to-day life i.e., how we infer things by simply seeing. ACTIVITY 2: Knowing themselves through set of questions provided to them, with the help of which they can come to know about where they are good at, from the answers they provide.

EXPLANATION: ACTIVITY 1: First we are asking 3 volunteers to come up and make them away from the class. Then, explaining the activity to the rest of the class. One person from the volunteer will be called in. He is asked to imagine that there is a tap, bucket, car and a cloth. Now, he has to fill the bucket with water by opening the tap then, he has to bring the bucket near the car and clean the car using the cloth which is over the car. Second person from the volunteer will watch the things done by the first person without knowing the activity. Then, the second person will say what he inferred from the actions of first person and he will repeat the actions by the way he understands i.e., the replication of action done by first person. While, second person doing the activity, third person will be watching the activity. This will be repeated till the last person. From this activity we are making the students to understand the concept of perception in day-to-day life.

INFERENCE: 1. In our normal life we take decisions about a person from our first impression which may be sometimes or in most of the cases will end up incorrectly. 2. It is important to realize how information transfers from the source to the receiver through many mediums and how it is important not to take decisions with just a blind perception. 3. As similar to this activity it is very important for a student to know your friend closely where you might have gone with a wrong decision and end up breaking your friendship.

ACTIVITY 2: We are giving a set of questions to the students, which will be based on their personal behavior. They have to answer those questions, from the answers they are going to know about their personality, passion, in which they are strong and in which they are going to excel in future. The interpretation for those answers is given by us.

Example 1. Write any three incidents where you have been appreciated the most? 2. What will you like to do if you are left alone in your home? Write any three. 3. Write a situation where you have embarassed in an occasion and how did you overcome that embarassment? 4. Do you feel that you are in the right path towards your goal.If so why?

INFERENCE: 1. Creating a path of your liking is really crucial for a student to be successful. 2. The activity shows how are able to find the real path a student wishes to perceive and confirm whether he/she is currently in the right path to achieve his/her goal. 3. The personality/passion of a student makes a big contribution to climb the ladder of success.
