Liu Tao's Biography & Awards:
Liu Tao, born in Guangxi in 1964. He graduated in Chinese Painting from Zhejiang Fine Arts Academy. After that he learnt from Chinese painting master Mr. Chen Yu Pu. Currently hes the studio director of China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute and national first-grade painter. Plum blossom he created is fresh and refined, having different charm. His plum blossom painting has varied technique of expression. Some composition is succinct but not humdrum, some is rich but not rambling. Plum blossom he painted has all sorts of color: red, inky, white, pink and purple. Whichever composition is wonderful, lively and natural. Liu Tao successively held personal exhibition in Shantou, Chaozhou of Guangdong province. He repeatedly took part in all kinds of national calligraphy and painting exhibition and won prizes, and received so much favourable comment from the well-known painters. In 1989, his huge painting of plum blossom called Await the arrival of spring was collected by Beijing Great Hall of the people; In 2000, his work listen quietly won gold in Huang Bing Hong celebrity calligraphy and painting invitational exhibition that held by China Artists Association ; In 2006, he was invited to the General Logistics Department of PLA to create hu ge size painting Xue Ji Nan Guo. 1964 1989 2000 2006
