RWD62U Controller
Function
The RWD62U is a three-input, two-output device used to control temperature, humidity, air pressure, fluid pressure, air/fluid velocity, and air quality in commercial and industrial facilities. The RWD62U is used for comfort control in HVAC systems. Two analog outputs with 0 to 10 Vdc voltage are provided for either two-stage heating or cooling, or heating and cooling. The main analog input (X1) can be set as F, C, % or none specified (-----). The default is F. The second analog input (X2) can be used for the following applications: PI Limiter function (absolute and relative limit) Remote setpoint function Setpoint compensation Winter/summer mode changeover (analog or digital input) (reversal of heating/cooling output) Cascade control function Maximum priority for cooling/dehumidifying
Application
A separate digital input is provided for day/night mode changeover. The RWD62U controller is intended for either DIN rail mounting in a switchboard or screw mounting with a protective enclosure. Desired output configuration and auxiliary function must be entered for initial set-up. See Service (PS) Mode Screen Sequence.

NOTES: 1. Application sheets for the listed applications are available online. 2. The heating sequence output is set to Direct Acting (default). This is typically used for normally open valves. Output can be set to reverse acting by changing the MIN and MAX value. See PS4. 3. The cooling sequence output is set to Direct Acting (default). This is typically used for normally closed valves. Output can be set to reverse acting by changing the MIN and MAX value. See PS4.

Operating Modes
The controller has three operating buttons for the following functions:
SEL This button is used to enter or save the value adjustment.
Time-out
These operating buttons are used for viewing and adjusting parameters
For setpoint adjustment in Normal mode, the controller will automatically exit the setting after 20 seconds. However, there is no time limit for setpoint adjustment in Service (PS) mode. The controller remains on the PS mode until the user completes the entire process. NOTES: Only those parameters that apply to a particular program appear on the display or in the sequence in commissioning. For example, if the second analog input is not used, X2 values and selections will not appear. A software tool for controller application selection and parameter adjustment is available (Tool Kit CD, P/N 125-3481). It is a user-friendly Windows 95 (or later)-based software tool which provides you with a printout of the controller settings. Parameters can be hidden from display by using the software tool.

Mounting Notes
TH0741R1
Figure 4. Mounting Options. The RWD62U can be mounted as follows: Observe all local installation and mounting regulations. A B C On a DIN rail (EN 50 022-35 x 7.5) at least 4.75 inches (120 mm) long for RWD62U. Wall-mounted with two screws. (Minimum length of the screws should be 2.75 inches (70 mm) ( 3.2 mm). Front-mounted using standard elements: One DIN rail 5.90 inches (150 mm) long for RWD62U Two hexagonal placeholders 1.96 inches (50 mm) Washers Screws NOTE: D (Ensure all terminations are tightened before final mounting to front panel.)
Inside the ARG62.21. WARNING: There must be a minimum of 0.31 inches (8 mm) distance from terminations to panel/enclosures to avoid electric shock.
Standard cables can be used for the controller. However, when mounting in an environment greatly exposed to EMI, use only shielded cables. The RWD62U is designed for 24 Vac operating voltage. Use safety insulating transformers with double insulation as per EN 60742; they must be designed for 100% Duty. When using several transformers in one system, the connection terminals G0 must be galvanically connected. Supplying voltages above 24 Vac to low voltage connections may damage or destroy the controller or any other connected devices. Additionally, connections to voltages exceeding 24 Vac endanger personal safety.
