Thailand is the leading nation in the mainland region because it has helped with the Pacific Rims development, Bangkok is the largest mainland urban center (prominent city), the population growing second slowest in realm, and it is a constitutional monarchy. 12. What limits the economic success of Vietnam includes, the limited foreign investment and the continual communist political system. Vietnam is not a leader like China and the economy has not had market change. The attention stayed on communist statism, and not on economic reform. 13.
