lmost nobody knows
Maxx Stalheim in
Imperial Beach! The
people who do know him are
mostly the IBCC and SWIA
members who control the
City Council and the
Tidelands Advisory Board.
The list of appointees to the
board reads like a roster of
the IBCC and SWIA mem-
bership. Who better to
appoint as your advisors than
your own little political
worker bees, cheerleaders,
lobyists or, as I like to refer to
them, the IBCC flying mon-
keys
Why would McCoy,
Winter and Rose support a
complete stranger to be
appointed to the Tidelands
Advisory Committee over
longtime residents of our
city? The answer is simple:
political favors! That’s right!
Stalheim’s appointment as
a “relative unknown,” was
part of the IBCC Strategy to
give Stalheim credibility and
visibility before his planned
race for City Council in I.B.
He’s not in the local phone
book either!
He is being placed as a
candidate as partial payment
for political favors and
endorsements from County
Supervisor Greg Cox and
some of his friends for whom
he just obtained large pay
increases.
The other law enforce-
ment PAC which endorses
Stalheim, admits it did so,
before its members knew
who all the candidates were.
Stalheim’s endorsment from
