This document briefs you about the Baan V2a installation in conjunction with MS SQL as the DB on
Windows Operating System.
Click Next to bring the licensing screen
Accept the license to proceed further

If you are installing on Windows you can use local and start the installation on the server, but if you
plan to install it on the UNIX environment then choose remote and supply the details accordingly
You can give any name to the environment, but make sure it is appropriate

You can choose the destination ($BSE) here

Locale must be ISO-8859-1, make sure you have the same locale for the SQL as well

Choose the appropriate DB here, in this case it must be SQL.

As we are doing the installation on windows and sql is locally installed on the server, select Local
database server setup

Give the sa, baanerp & baan passwords here. baanerp is baan DB group in baan and schema
in the DB.

Though the above options are optional, but it is recommended to select them.

Please specify the paths & sizes for mdf and ldf files here. It would be better to make the ldf size as
10% of the mdf size.
You can skip the next step of changing the storage inf file.

The BaanERP B52a would be the base package combination that would be installed.

As now we are done with the pre-installation part, click on the Install button to carry on with the
installation.

That completes the tools installation part. Next part will be installing the application part of Baan
ERP.

Do not change the path below as we want both the application and tools part to be under one
folder, which is $BSE.

Do select all the active check boxes in next screen.
